Fang shook his head. "No, no, not at all," he said. "Actually, it didn't even occur to me to invite them. I have invited Wade because I was inviting other people from school and it would look odd if we didn't invite him, and, besides, he's not been troubling Ren lately, so it should be fine, even if he comes."

Pax nodded. "That's all right, then," he said. "So – who was it that you wanted to invite, then?"

Fang hesitated. "I – I was wondering if we could – if we could invite the children from the Orchid Orphanage…" he murmured.
