The advancement caused by new policies and constructions by Emperor Thexan resulted in new innovations and creations that helped the Empire and cemented its rule, among them the construction of a new shipyard to rival Nidavellir, The Star Forge, a construction yard that produced the basis of all technology used across the Empire
And as new ships were pumped out of shipyards across the Empire they were manned by fresh faced marines, pilots, and officers, each highly trained, that formed the backbone of the newly recreated Eternal Fleet.
The Empire began to expand into the surrounding space using the new vessels in their possesion, and began recruiting people to the Empire, increasing the population in the Empire, and bringing new workforce in every department.
Their expansion was rapid and they spread through the unclaimed parts of the Universe almost completely unopposed, encountering only minor resistance from smuggler groups or criminal organisations who had established bases far from "civilized" space, among them are the Ravagers.
They made extra care when encountering such groups to block off their escape, as such groups are considered a danger towards the safety and stability of the Empire, causing most of the military to try capture as many people as possible, while ships used by these groups are disassembbled and the technology present in these craft are researched, and sometimes used to improve the existing technology of the Empire.
One such things that the Empire managed to recover is the intelligence from a certain smuggler who happens to have the information about the location of the mysterious orb. After analysing the information, the Navy launched an invasion of the desolete planet Morag, resulting in the acquisition of the Power Stone, one of the six Infinity Stones, bringing more attention and power to the Empire.
The task of keeping the Empire safe and well informed about the rest of the Universe was given to the newly reorganised Imperial Intelligence, especially in the wake of the Invasion to insure that the real reason why the Empire invaded Morag remained only rumours, to avoid more attention and danger to the Empire, especially from the Mad Titan, who after all the intelligence about him is analysed the Intelligence Department can presume that he is somewhat interested in the Infinity Stones, although for reason why, it is not known yet.
So it was that the Eternal Empire expanded unimpeded by the powers in the rest of the Universe, free to take control of unclaimed planets and galaxies. The more the Empire expanded, the greater their production output became as they snapped up planet after planet, converting their natural resources into ships, buildings and vehicles for the Imperial war machine.
The superior technology and firepower of the Empire's troops proved pivotal in the expansion, as most planets and galaxies invaded were part of a galactic government or have some influence with several governments such as the Kree, Skrulls, Sovereign, even Asgard. These battles were often close quarters and incredibly vicious. However, planets after planets, galaxies after galaxies, no power could stand againts the might of the Empire, allowing more and more territories to be under the banner of the Eternal Throne.
The first ever setback suffered by the Empire was caused by Asgard, when Odin and his daughter Hela tried to do their own conquest. The War between Asgard and Zakuul spans for over 1000 years, after which Odin has a change of hearts seeing many Asgardian fell to the Knights of Zakuul, allowing a truce to be formed between the two powers. Hela, on the other hand, wanted to continue the war, despite the losses suffered. This caused her banishment by Odin in the realm of Niflheim.
The defeat of Asgard confirmed the status of the Empire's rebirth and ascension as the sole superpower in the Universe, eclipsing the Kree, Xandar, Sovereign, and other power in the Universe. The image of Odin formally announcing a truce and Asgard's exit from the war also strenghtened and immortalised the phrase "Kneel before the Dragon of Zakuul" as it serves as a reminder that no one, not even the Gods are above the Dragon that sits on the Eternal Throne.
With the end of the War between Asgard and Zakuul also marks the end of the Age of Conquest, as Emperor Thexan decided to focus more on stabilising his vast empire, to ensure the empire built on the blood of his father, siblings and all the warriors of Zakuul never falls either in his reign or after.
