บท 39: Interlude - Meddling
In the Royal Palace of the Altfode Kingdom stood a young girl.
She was in her second semester of her first school year in her new life.
That's right, a new life in a new world.
A world of reincarnation, and not just any world, an RPG-themed world.
In a corridor after leaving a ceremony stood a girl.
The girl was the only one who knew the truth of this world.
She was a girl in a black uniform, short in stature, hazel eyes with round glasses, orange zucchini-shaped hair with L-shaped sideburns, and flat-chested or non-existent.
The girl's name was Erselica van Reinfield.
She had come out of a room where she and other students had been given medals for bravery.
The group where Rudel and the girls were had been attacked by a fleet belonging to a country called the Talis Commonwealth.
The cruiser where Erselica, Chlust, Frey and some servants were also attacked.
After being frightened all the crew and students. Erselica heroically took the lead, the enemy had no mobile knights so defeating them was a piece of cake. Their numbers were so inferior looking like ants compared to what Rudel and his group fought against.
Only one was not attacked, the one where Liam was supposed to be was.
Erselica after receiving the medal of bravery and honor was also awarded with the title of knight of low rank.
All people were surprised by it except her.
The reason was.
(I can't believe it all turned out so well!")
...Why she knew this would happen.
(The event of the commonwealth's attack was supposed to happen at the end of freshman year.)
(Instead in this event they should have been the last vestige of the pirate pillars.)
Erselica bit her lips at her next thought.
(What's worse that dirty bastard ruined the plot again!!! Who the hell would think to call the final boss for a simplistic battle like this!!!?!?)

(The weirdest thing is that the pirates should have attacked a summer island, but that didn't happen since that dirty bastard defeated all the pirates so this event was altered by another one).
(It's all so annoying, I wish my brother from my previous life was here to help me with these annoyances).
Erselica thought so, but reality and games don't mix like oil and water.
Suddenly she heard footsteps approaching towards her.
When she looked up...
"Who is it?"
...She grimaced.
"Guhh... dad what are you doing here?"
A tall looking man with muscles despite having a belly came running up and crying.
"Ersyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy~"
His short orange hair swayed making his four strange antennas dance.
While her daughter's three antennae rose up in panic because of the man who came running over to hug her.
"Ersyyyyyyyyyyyyyy~"
Her father, Viscount Clavis van Reinfield was showing how much he loved his daughter.
While his daughter.
"Gyahh!!! Daddy, please stop squeezing me!!! Your ridiculous muscles will crush me before your belly!!!"
She couldn't stand her love.
Clavis stopped hugging her to pull away a little as he laughed.
"Fefefe, I'm sorry dear daughter. It's just that I'm excited about this."
Her father gave her a loving look with a smile that showed he was proud of his daughter.
"I always tried so that our family could move up the ranks in my generation, I tried, but I couldn't do it. But you my little girl have done what I in thirty years could not do."
Clavis wanted to cry again, but wiped the tears away with his hairy arms as his lock beard showed a mirth with his mouth.
Erselica immediately calmed her father to stop crying being an adult.
"Dad calm down already will you? I am the heiress since I have no siblings, but you are the boss still. You can have my title since I'm not the next head."
"Never!!!" -shouted her father at his daughter's proposal.
"Even if I am the current head, you are my precious and only daughter! Do you think if your mother was still here she would have been happy knowing that!"
After hearing that scolding Erselica's face saddened.
"S-sorry... mom also wanted to see our family move up in rank."
"She's not here anymore. But we are, as long as we are alive, her memory will be with us."
Both father and daughter became emotional. Clavis then had to say goodbye to his daughter.
"I'm sorry Ersy, I came because some friends said they wanted to discuss something important with me. When you come back for the vacations I promise we'll go out in the woods to hunt the deer-bulls you like so much!"
Immediately Erselica replied "I don't like it! Its meat is too tough and tastes bad even with spices and sauce!"
Clavis laughed loudly and to sadden her according to her, he said "Fefefe, you say that, but well you ate a whole one as a child."
"I was doing it because there was nothing to eat in the forest! What kind of father decides to spend all our money on weapons we won't use and live in the forest for alleged training?"
He patted his daughter's head before leaving.
In the distance stood two men, one with long green hair and one with red hair and a large scar on his face calling out to him.
Erselica watched her father leave.
She resumed her thoughts so that no one would hear her.
(Now that the end of the year is coming, that bastard will be part of the first year main event... this is really bad, if I don't stop him... the worst possible outcome will happen).
Once again came footsteps approaching Erselica.
When she looked up again this time she saw a group of servants.
Erselica acted like a normal girl as she was in a very Machiavellian position.
"Master!!! -shouted a young servant, he smallest of them all.
His hair was light brown and his eyes were scarlet. He had a smile of seeming to have found what he longed for most.
During the attack on Erselica's cruiser, that young servant was about to be devoured by a flying monster in the form of an insectoid seal.
But Erselica used water magic to create a shield, nay, several shields to protect most of them.
Because the water was so crystal clear thanks to the high amount of magic power used in them, due to the effect of items Erselica knew. She was able to achieve a crushing victory against her enemies.
From that moment on, Erselica became a goddess-like existence of victory for them. And this young servant, Allen. He is one who decided to be her exclusive servant without pay.
The other servants also followed her example.
Erselica gave them a warm smile and asked "what's up?".
One of them, the tallest and darkest skinned one with long blonde hair answered her "Erselica-sama, the item you asked us to bring we brought it here."
The servants in the back brought a medium-sized, dirty, long trunk.
It was an item Erselica knew what it was, its exact location and its use.
This item was original for Airi at the end of the game when she would be declared the incarnation of the new Saint.
Erselica smiled slightly.
"Please leave it in that room over there."
The servants heeded her and carried the trunk into a room. All but the young servant went.
Erselica asked him what was wrong.
"Is there a problem, Allen?"
The servant, Allen, a non-playable character in the game who only served to give item completion quests, said "May I ask what's in there master?".
Erselica smiling warmly replied "The future of this country, if you stay with me. You will receive happiness."
Allen smiled hearing that, while Erselica's mind....
(That's right, the happiness that Rudel will take away from you all in a few months. I will secretly support Prince Liam no longer as an observer, but as an overseer to make sure that in these remaining months before event X. That damn bastard falls into the cold, desolate pit of death!)
... She was just thinking about destroying Rudel once and for all.
