บท 23: Chapter 22 ( The mountain )
Arya was now heading to King's landing in a beautiful carriage given to her by John Black for her convenience.
Arya was also excited to try out the new sword her brother John had given her before he left for the wall and couldn't wait to get there and try it out.
Modri: I've never ridden in such a comfortable carriage and that is of course thanks to your fiancée John.
Arya smiled and of course Sansa grinned hearing this. She was jealous of John Black's interest in Arya since Joffrey hadn't even smiled at her since they left Winterfell Castle.
Suddenly the car stopped moving.
Nanny: It seems we have reached King's landing.
The carriage door opened and Geralt could be seen holding Arya's hand until she got off the carriage with Ned watching. During this trip Geralt was very keen to serve Arya.
(in the land of black)
John Black arrived home with his uncle Alfred and was sitting on his throne looking at Joseph.
John Black: Joseph, are all of Robert's bastards taken care of?
Joseph: Yes, sir. They have been provided with clothes, food and housing. They are all thankful to you.
John Black: Very well now I want everyone to leave the castle except for my guards.
Joseph and the rest of the assistants left. A crow flew to John and stood in front of him. John reached out and touched it after which the scene in front of his eyes changed changed to a man in black standing on a tree.
Man in black: Who are you and why can't I have a future because of you
John Black: I know who you are and I know about the Night King. If you really want to stop him, I want you to shut up and do whatever I say.
The man fell silent and stared at John, then nodded
John Black: I want you to tell all the children of the forest to come to my land to help me craft a magic spell which could make weapons capable of killing the walking dead. My ships will soon reach you to help transport them safely.
The man smiled and then disappeared.
(in the land of kings)
Arya was playing with the sword with Mycah until Joffrey came and hit Mycah. Arya came forward and pushed him away from Mycah. Joffrey got angry and waved his sword in Arya's direction, but before the sword reached her a heavy blow came in Joffrey's face.
Cersei: How dare that monster hurt my beloved son?
Joffrey was putting his hand to his face next to his mother, and his eyes were turning red from crying too much.
Robert: Shut up! Ned your daughter's bodyguard attacked my son. I want an explanation for what happened here or he will be executed on the spot.
Ned Stark: I think there is a reasonable explanation. We should hear what happened.
Joffrey: I was walking with Sansa when I saw a stranger attacking Arya. I wanted to help but her guard came and attacked me.
Arya: He's lying! He attacked my friend.
Robert: Enough! Who the hell should I believe now?
Ned turned to Geralt, who was still calm, as if nothing had happened.
Ned: Geralt, can you tell us what happened?
Geralt: Yes, sir. Miss Arya was playing with her friend until the prince came and attacked miss's friend.
Robert: Is that true? You tried to attack an unarmed girl, and also the daughter of my friend. Go with your mother now! I don't want to see you here today.
Robert said angrily then turned to Geralt.
Robert: That doesn't mean you can hurt my son without consequences.
Geralt: For the sake of the lady's protection, nothing can stop me. Not even the king himself.
Robert became very angry, but very quickly afterward calmed down.
Robert: I'll just let it pass this time.
Ned was thankful for Geralt, someone who never served him, ready to protect his daughter and not afraid of the consequences.
Outside, Arya was worried about what would happen to Mycah.
Geralt: Don't worry miss Arya, the young master knows what happened and your friend will be safe.
Arya smiled because she knew Geralt wouldn't lie to her.
Loki is now staring at Sandor says: Yes if you do that you will get your brother's head.
Sandor: My brother's head in exchange for faking the butcher boy's death by making him fall into the river, why not.
(In flee bottom )
Ned: You're saying the boy that John Arryn was taking care of was sent to the North.
Old man: Yes, a stranger came and bought it from me. He was wearing a mask to hide his face.
Ned knew that the boy had Robert's features and he also knew that all of Robert's villains had disappeared at the same time and in the same way. A strange man appears and takes them with him. Ned sighed and went to the match that Robert set for Joffrey's honor.
King Robert was sitting on his chair drinking in boredom. Everyone in the stands was waiting for the duel to begin. In the stands Ned and Sansa were seated in their seats when Ned noticed that Arya wasn't there.
Ned: Modri, where is Arya? Why can't I see her here?
Before Modri could answer, he heard his daughter, Arya's voice.
Arya: I came dad, sorry I'm late. I was training to catch cats.
Arya sat next to her sister and Geralt sat next to Arya. Modri was angry about Arya not asking. Geralt just pushed her aside.
Sir Loras came and gave a red rose to Sansa, who happily thanked him for it.
Petyr Baelish: I bet a hundred coins on the mountain.
Renly: I take the bet.
Arya: A thousand gold coins for the death of the mountain.
Renly and Petyr fell silent looking at her. They couldn't believe that a little girl also wanted to bet, and that she was Ned Stark's daughter.
Petyr: It seems miss Arya likes to bet too. May I ask where you will get the money from?
Arya smiled and said: John gave me 100,000 gold coins as pocket money
Petyr: Yes, I've heard of that. John Black is a very generous person.
Ned was surprised to hear his daughter, but didn't say anything. He saw Geralt whispering in her ear.
Arya: Do you accept the bet or not?
Petyr laughed and said: Why not a thousand coins?
Renly: I agree too.
The fight began. After a while the mountain lost. He got angry and threw Lures off his horse and waved the sword in his face. Everyone was afraid to see it but before the sword reached him it was stopped by someone else.
It was Geralt who stopped the sword and pushed The Mountain forward.
The Mountain roared angrily at him and attacked him with all his might, but Geralt easily repelled all his strikes. The crowd watched in stifling silence.
Geralt quickly hit his feet from behind and The Mountain fell to the knees. When the mountain raised his face he saw Geralt throwing his sword away and putting his hands in his mouth. Everyone didn't understand what was happening but they could see The Mountain screaming. Only to notice his jaw was moving away from his skull. Suddenly the sound of breaking was heard making everyone shiver. The Mountain fell to the ground without a single sound.
Robert saw it all silently, but was shocked to see Geralt's strength.
Everyone clapped loudly with a feeling of fear, respect and adoration. Arya smiled and looked at Petyr who had turned pale. Renly had a mixed feeling.
Sandor could be seen standing in front of his brother. He was standing there looking at him with a very strange smile.
Arya: So where is my money?
