บท 58: Convalesce

The sounds or trees rustling and birds chirping were comforting as he lay on the plush bed, in a wooden cabin. His head throbbed with pain, making it difficult to open his eyes fully. His body ached with sharp shooting pains. He could no longer tell what was real from the illusion.

Fearfully raising his hands before him, relief washed over him. His body was still healed from the burns. Was it just a dream or a hallucination? What really happened? He wondered. Everything felt real.

The last thing he remembered was images of him being burned. Someone appeared in his vision. He so desperately wanted to see who the person was. Could it be who caused the burns? Was it the person who wanted him dead so badly?

So many questions flooded his thought all at once. They she entered his mind. He felt so guilty about what happened between them. The look on her face was one he wanted to forget. He never meant to hurt her, but nothing made sense.
