บท 28: Chapter-28: Application for Chunnin exams and gifts for team-7!
It was time for chunnin exams!
Yamato personally approved the team by testing them in the battle field.
He was sure they can take on anyone as long as they are careful.
Naruto (Kazuya, really) had shown the characteristics of a leader and Sasuke and Sakura have followed through his plans, almost always. His plans were ruthless, extremely effective and out of the box. He was especially good with Wind style ninjutsu and Water style ninjutsu. However, Yamato didn't know his real limit yet. Naruto (Kazuya) could deal with nearly all the situations thrown at him with ease and he encountered all of them, fearlessly.
Sasuke had sharingan to assist him in the battle and his battle genius extremely high. He was especially good at Fire style ninjutsu and Lightning style ninjutsu. He could easily take on a few chunnin ninjas by himself and was extremely efficient in doing so. An aggressive attacker of the sorts.
Sakura was showing a lot of progress as well. Her medic ninjutsu wasn't really good but it was definitely something that would help the team in odd situations. Her fighting skills weren't up to the mark but her support from the sidelines was more than enough to have her on the team. She still wasn't showing a lot of promise as she was somewhat of a scholarly genius, if anything. Her low chakra reserves didn't allow her to stay conscious after doing 4 fireballs.
Yamato didn't like know how to deal with Sakura. His experience with people with low chakra reserves isn't much as civilians rarely choose to become ninjas in the village.
He thought about handing her to the Konoha hospital for a week so that she can learn how to deal with emergency situations but it wasn't as effective as he thought it would be.
At the end, he had to accept it the situation and he gave them the clear to participate in the chunnin exams.
"Team-7. I am officially allowing you to apply for chunnin exams. Please fill out the forms if you want to participate. You need to decide that right now. Also, I will treat you all at Teuchi's ramen shop this evening. Come there and take some gifts I prepared for you as well." Yamato said as he flickered away.
Suddenly, Naruto sat down on the bench and said in a casual yet commanding tone, "We will participate in the chunnin exams. Any objections? Raise your hand if you want it to be chopped off."
This was Kazuya, who had talked with Naruto about this and taken the control from him.
"You bet we will participate. Isn't it right, Sasuke-kun?" Sakura said as she sat down on the bench and started filling the form.
"Hn." Sasuke said as he sat down and started filling the form as well.
Seeing others starting to fill the form, Sakura also started filling up the form.
First to finish was Kazuya, who jumped up from his spot and said, "I am going home for now. We will meet at Teuchi's ramen shop this evening. Bye."
Kazuya said as he walked away and let Naruto take the control.
Naruto was heading to the Hokage's tower, where he needed to submit the form.
Kazuya was now going chill for today.
All the planning he had done is now finalized. All that is left is to perform on the grand stage.
After Naruto walked away, Sasuke and Sakura were alone with each other, filling out the forms .
"H-Hey Sasuke-kun...I was wondering if you want to go on out to eat something with me? I-I am sort of hungry." Sakura said.
"You can go to eat by yourself. I am full and I need to train after submitting this form." Sasuke said as he ruthlessly turned her down.
"But it won't be the same without you!" Sakura said.
"Haah....I've already said this but I will say it again, Sakura. No. If you are so free that you want to pass time like this then why don't you train or something?" Sasuke said as he left her.
His form was filled and he was heading to the Hokage tower to submit it.
"Haah...Once again he rejected me...I'll get him next time." Sakura said to no one as she went to the Hokage tower as well.
She wanted to submit the form as well.

After meeting with Yamato, Naruto came out of the shop happily with a leaf green toad pouch and a green hoodie.
This was a special kunai pouch and a ninja outfit Yamato had bought for Naruto.
This was meant to disguise him better in the forest of death.
Yamato gave a standard ANBU tanto to Sasuke who was swinging it like a little kid who got a new toy.
Sakura received an incredibly sturdy wooden senbon that worked as a hairpin for her. It would save her life in emergency cases.
"I hope you all like your gifts. Don't be depressed if you lose in the chunnin however. Chunnin exams are held every year and there is no need to beat yourself over it. Only a few people get promoted at once. Okay? Now you all can go home and sleep for today. Tomorrow is a big day for you." Yamato said as he went outside of the shop but was stopped by Naruto.
"We will give you a gift after exam as well, sensei. We will dominate this exam for you, dattebayo!" Naruto said with a charming smile and a thumbs up.
"Sure, Naruto." Yamato said as he flickered away, covering the redness on his cheeks.
He was somewhat shy and obviously wasn't the social type of person, after all. Accepting this sort of gratitude was hard for him.
Root did a number on him as well as his personality.
One could also see a pair of white colored eyes, observing Naruto carefully from behind a pillar while blushing and thinking about his smile.

(The Next day)
It is time for chunnin exams!
The day was bright and the birds were chirping.
Kazuya woke up and took the control of the body to prepare something to eat and quickly created a clone, told him something and burst it.
The clone had information for the ANBU infiltrator. It was basically all the orders he prepared for the chunnin exam.
