@TheWilHarris: Doing the right thing isn't always easy. #Truth #LifeIsHard
Megan's lungs burned as she pushed herself hard through her run. She'd be lying if she said it was because she was out of shape from not exercising while she was gone. She'd had some muscle pain, but she was still fine as far as everything else went. In fact, she'd been pulling in some of the best times she'd had in years recently. She had been pushing herself so long and hard since she'd got back that even her overall average time had dropped.
As she slowed to a walk, she tried to suck in a lungful of air. She noticed the edges of her vision starting to get hazy, and she realized she'd pushed too hard.
"Whoa," her father said as he came up and put an arm around her. "You all right?"
"I... I think," she panted.
"Meg, you need to sit down." He led her to the front steps and helped her sit down. "What's going on? You get over heated?"
She shook her head. "Pushed... too... hard."
