The Callahan's Apartment, Monday night

"She called me what?" asked Dawn.

After receiving a warm homecoming from his parents, Cyrus and Katya told their story. Cheryl went from joy to tears to anger and back again throughout the whole regaling. Their tale began with the original jump to 1946 and the strange feeling they got as they vanished in time to 1871.

It was Cyrus's dream that Dawn was asking about.

"My Great-Grandma Kate said that we could be saved by the power of my own blood and the dark night. I get it now. Cathy is my blood relative. She is closer to me physiologically than even my parents. As for the second part, I thought she was referring to a dark night as in the evening, but it's clear now that she was referring to the dark knight as in Dawn Knight."

"Well, if she knew so much, why didn't she just say my name?" asked Dawn.
