This has a different feel as it's more like a mystery story with a dash of supernatural due to the transmigration. It's doesn't focus much on the FL and ML interaction but the feelings of both of each other is well shown, although few. The ending though is very rush so the story has the feeling of not being finished. Overall, good enough story.
When I first read this, I immediately noticed the similarity of an existing book that I forgot the title of ( It's From Sidekick to Bigshot). But I thought this was the original one cause I remember dropping that book a few hundred chapters later due to some reasons. It started okay and quite a good read even if it's a carbon copy of that book, the author just changed some things and names but overall it is blatant plagiarism ( I knew already now that this was the unoriginal one) until I've reached the part where the ML and MC interacts, and I was put off and dissatisfied with it. Because there was a comparison between two obviously similar books, it dawned on me that this was the counterfeit one. It's just so awkward and unrealistic how the story just flowed later on. I guessed no matter how you copied someone else's work and took their credit, it can't replace artistic talent that you never had.

Hardly any errors read so far!🤩👏🏻 Police scene with Mo Yu & Lin Mu after their fight as well as how Mo Li dealt with these 2 in the police station. Plus, how the Lin Elders who came to visit Mo Li & Mo Yu to talk with their Mo Elders. These are so similar with 《Madam Is A Sensational Figure In The City》 & 《A Stern Mistress From The Ancient Past Becomes The Cannon-Fodder In A Wealthy Family》.
Similar character settings as “From sidekick to bigshot” BUT the story plot is very different. There’s a much heavier emphasis on forensics, crime and mystery. Read this first, before “From sidekick to bigshot” and still like it more, in fact read it twice. The only letdown was the ending that felt anticlimatic.

It's look interesting but it's not. Don't bother to read this because it's plagiarism. Maybe that's why 'I can't get into thr novel'. I just don't get the feels, the vibes. Got to read until 140+ then had hunch to check the last chapter and yep, I just wasted my time

Don’t bother wasting your time or coins on this book. The first few chapters are very similar to another book called From Sidekick to Bigshot before it veers off more into a wannabe mystery novel. Honestly it’s very annoying to with how they try to tease the mystery. It feels disjointed and makes no real sense. The worst part is the rushed ending with no real resolution. The chemistry between th FL and ML is very dry and the other characters are also pretty lame.
I really like this story. However I think it could have been prolonged just. little be longer. it felt like the author was tired of writing and just wrote the final chapter .
ok, i wanna give less stars but despite it being similar to sidekick to bigshot in the initial chapters. it is totally different. the only disappointing thing is the ending of the novel or else it would be one of my favourite novels. the ending of qiao qing and flower appraisal was very disappointing. there were so many chapters on the org and it kept me hoked so much that i didn't ate and drink and got sick so very much disappointed with the ending. otherwise this novel is really on the best as the author has worked hard and characters have depth, the relationship of fl and ml doesn't have much development but otherwise the writing is top class level. thanks for the novel.
It's ok, the premise is not unique and similar to other novels but it kinda remind me the Korean drama "Partners for Justice" whenever there's a case to solve. Sadly, the end was to rush, and ended just like that.
I have yet to read "from side kick to bigshot" so I can't compare the two. the story itself has a good story. the originality of the story on the other hand is not good. I read and seem to recall many of these scenes and events under other stories and movies as well. Best example I can think of was all the crime events. I hope in the future, there would be more originality from the author.
See, this is the problem if you use other people’s work. Author tried to make it different but instead it made the story inconsistent in some areas. For example: MC character traits. FL went from someone who detested physical contact from strangers in earlier chapters (her tutor leaned in to check her homework but she leaped away ‘like a panther’ to avoid physical contact) to being ‘sucked in her earlobes & kissed on her eyes’ by some stranger when she somehow ended up being a stand-in actress (that was so random btw). This is ch 77. So not much has happened but her character changed that quickly? She suddenly was threatened to become involved in entertainment industry? It seems so forced to me. Not to mention, how the heck did she get to be a ✨nude body double✨ at the age of 16? Why did author feel it’s necessary to add this disturbing scene? Despite knowing that this is some knock off version of FSTB I was going to give it a chance but alas, there was just too much inconsistencies that I give up. The story becomes muddled. It just doesn’t make any sense to me. No wonder it’s dropped🤷🏻♀️

I actually liked the story, regardless of the controversy surrounding it. Although there were many similar themes running through both stories, I could still separate the two and enjoy both. 🤷♀️

I just finished this thru BoxNovel website but I reinstalled WebNovel just to check if it's really finished. Is that really the end??? Is that all??? I feel like I've wasted my time finishing this. Such a good story with great potential 😭😭😭😭😭
This story had no direction. Is it romance? Is it a thriller? Who knows, certainly not the author. The characters are flat and unispiring, their emotions don't feel genuine enough to warrant the reader to spend more money on this drivel. The female lead might have been the only okay-ish part about this novel (if you ignore how OP she is), the male lead feels like the second male lead; he's seriously so boring, so unremarkable that the only way he stands out is by being extremely bland. The side characters are easily forgotten. Wasted my time.
I love it so far. I just wish I could buy each chapter separately instead of having to purchase all of the remaining chapters at once. that's the only thing that stopped me from reading anymore of the story. I'm disappointed too. I really wanted to see how it ends.
The ending was very abrupt. although they resolved everything, it was with a few paragraphs. the switch at the ending was out of left field. and none of the love triangles or family drama was truly reolved, just a bit glossed over and case closed. of course, all the murders were getting a bit cumbersome. . . .
If webnovel could please stop recommending me this plagiarized book and just link me the original, that would be lovely. From sidekick to bigshot is the one people should look up when recommended of this one. Trust me that one is legit amazing

utter trash. Nothing else to say about those characters, FL included. I don't even want to say much about this messy mess tbh. I didn't get past chapter 5 or so either, it's too much
Honestly, I'm super disappointed with this book. Writing is great storyline is fantastic love the part of book I can read.. I have to purchase the whole book to finish reading the last half. I'm not very happy. I have the daily fp's to read it but to spend almost 4'000 coins to finish reading it is ridiculous .
The story is killed at chapter 481 and quickly and poorly wrapped up. Don't waste your money on this one like I did. Apparently the author used too much plagiarism.
Although it started very similarly to "From Sidekick to Bigshot", the story deviated to have it's own, interesting plot. Those people who love forensic crime solving mysteries would have been thrilled. HOWEVER, what would have been a very nice story was destroyed by awful storytelling. The ending was also too rushed and did not put a conclusion to all
So I just want to know if there's a season two/volume 2 for this? Because I am honestly disturbed by how everything ended. Is it really the end? Because if it is, I am gonna lose my temper😭. There's a looooot of mysteries unsolved and the romance between hasn't completely bloom yet so it shouldn't end just like that right?
I’m not sure about this book. It’s boring me because there’s so many murder cases and it fail to catch my attention. Reading all the non-stop murder cases tired me out. I prefer more if there’s more interaction between ML and FL.
