Makai, Doc, and I sat there in silence, for me it was a stunned silence, as the guard woman named Yara took BM into custody. She had even pulled out a set of handcuffs that had been fashioned from some form of seaweed. I don't know how they thought that something that was made of seaweed was going to hold someone, but apparently it was what they used.

Personally, I would not have put my safety into the figurative hands of a sea plant that was known for being flimsy and weak. I don't know, maybe the way that it was braided made it stronger or something. Whatever it was that they were thinking, it didn't matter to me. As long as they got that crazy baby maker away from me, I didn't care what they used to detain her.
