บท 118: Five Random Facts

Penelope handed the phone back to Roman and watched with a perplexed expression as he called a towing company. None of this made sense. Why on earth was he helping her? 

She had successfully avoided him throughout dinner so she wanted to scream when she saw him knocking on her window after already being frustrated . Then he went on to be unexpectedly helpful even though, in his mind, they had literally only exchanged greetings before. 

She didn't get it. The Roman she knew wasn't the type to go out of his way to help strangers. Besides, accepting his help felt terrible because of her tangled up feelings from Saturday night. 

Penelope had her pride but she also didn't want to get in further financial trouble. Because of her new job and not paying any more of the medical bills, she now had $321.52 in her bank account as opposed to the approximately $7 she had before.
