It was the day of the summons. Nicholas has been quiet for the time being. He has not said much in the past few days to his ministers. After the wedding of Rosaline, there is hardly any exchange of letters between his sister and himself. He wanted to know how she was doing; thus, with only Virgil as his confidence, he sent a few of the knights undercover to check the situation in Rante. There were steady reports; he was impressed with how Rosa ended up taking care of the castle. He was angry with her choice of groom, but it was a change in her. She did seem to mould herself in the place. It was a surprise for Nicholas, but there was still an emptiness in him.
