The tavern was filled by the time Eugene and Edan entered. They were invited to the banquet, but Eugene felt it would be better to stay out. He thought that the black knights would do something on this day.

“Are you sure we should not go to the banquet? They would be expecting us.” Edan muttered as they entered.

The tavern was busy but bustling, with loud people laughing while they talked. However, for some reason, the mood was silent today.

“I already sent a letter saying we are not attending. Besides, I can’t relax until these black knights are out of the reports.” Eugene replied.
