บท 455: Bk3: Ch– 66 Queen’s Palace(pt-1)

It was dark at night with no moon in the sky. The only light was from the torches in the corridor. The guards were on the ground but very silent and hardly making a sound. They were alert, checking the place. Guarding the king’s palace is not a kid's job, either. The shadow of the torch flickered in the cold wind. They were wearing woollen jackets to keep themselves warm in this weather. There was no hint of snow, but their lips were dry in the cold weather. The torch's lights were not strong as the cold temperature made moving hard. In the middle of the road to the harem from the place was the kitchen. The chef walked out with a cup of warm tea. He sat on the small steps. His assistants were playing music. It was late at night, and they had already sent the last meal for the day. Thus, they were taking a break.

They made a small campfire and sat around it.
