“Your highness.” She finally noticed him and tried to stand up.
Lais grabbed her wrist. “Sit down Sir Rosa do not make a scene you will scare the kids in front of you.”
He smiled as he let go of her wrist and watched the kids play along with her. ‘How did he know I am here?’
Rosa thought. “Sir, I am….”
She tried to apologize but Lais smiled looking at her. He might be a man now, but that smile made him look like an innocent child to Rosa. She gulped as the words left her mouth there was no sound coming out of her throat. She removed her eyes from looking directly at him and focused on the kids instead.
“These kids are the best when it comes to living life. Don’t you think?” Lais commented looking at the kids.
Rosa did not reply, her head went down. Lais put his shin on his palm before asking her, “Can you tell me how you know the town chief's elder daughter?”
