Oliver's Pov
I had to leave quite early this morning due to some issues I had to take care of. Apparently Marco was biting more than he could chew. I had to look for a way to handle Eva fast, before things got out of hand.
I think it was just the right time to let Lois know the whole truth. Yes, there were still skeletons in my closet sadly enough. I couldn't help but think how things would have turned out much differently, had I confronted my demons head on.
I only had two options.
Tell Lois the truth, or loose her when she finds out. And I knew it wouldn't be long until she did. I was already deep in, I had fallen in love with her again. She always had my heart all along. Somethings never change, and I learned this the hard way.
All the high school bullying, the emotional bruises I tried giving to her, when I found out Nathan Black had been making passes at her. I couldn't man up and tell her I was in love with her. I never had the guts to anyway.
Now Eva's father had formed an alliance with Marco. I didn't Marry his daughter after all. I expected this at some point. I had already made up my mind to talk with Lois today.
I walked to the garden after I returned from Julius's place. Julius was my Uncle's second in command. It was from him I got to know that Eva and her father had become allies with Marco. It was a pity, because they were going down alongside the Marcolinis.
Eva's father had always been an ambitious man. I'm sure he planned to merge our Mafia groups after his daughter got married to me. Our Family had never fancied Edward Jones, he was greedy in nature, and that wasn't a news. His wife left him because of that. He put her life on the line, just for fame and power.
Sometimes I pitied Eva for the kind of father she was fated to have.
I and Julius worked on some matters together, before I left to come back to the Den. Lois was seated at the garden when I walked in. I went to the opposite end and sat there, going through some papers. She didn't say a word. I guess she was felt awkward after last night's make out session.
After some minutes, Sofiah came to me with a tray, holding two glasses.
"Good morning Sir."
"Morning Sofiah" I smiled
"I thought you'd care for a glass of juice?" she said, rather unsure.
"You thought well Sofiah"
"That's good then" She smiled, displaying her cute dimples.
She turned to go before I called her.
"Please wait a minute"
"Sir?"
I took a piece of paper from my pocket. "Please give this to Lois"
"Alright sir. A love letter huh?" She grinned. I couldn't help but laugh. I was happy she was becoming lively again. After the death of her husband, she had become so withdrawn.
Her husband Zac, used to be Uncle Lucas's right hand man. That was until he was shot by one of Marco's men. He took the bullet for Uncle Luca. Uncle Luca had been so devastated and confused. That was one of the weakest moments of his life.
Dad and Uncle Jonathan sent some men to Rome for Reinforcement and Uncle Luca's protection. He felt responsible for Zac's death, so he took Sofiah in. Even if Zac hadn't the opportunity of saying his last words, he knew Zac would have wanted his wife to be completely protected.
Zac loved his wife so dearly, and sadly they never had any children. Uncle Luca tried getting through to Sofiah, but she had built a barrier around. She was always alone or crying.
She finally overcame the darkness that was slowly eating her up. She started taking care of chores around the den. Uncle Luca tried stopping her most of the time, but she remained adamant. She gave him an ultimatum, It was either she cleaned or quit being under his protection. And he couldn't risk her safety.
I think running around, taking care of little chores was her way of getting Zac's demise out of her mind. He left a space in her heart, that I really hoped would be filled one fine day.
"Yeah, it's a love letter I smiled. Thank you Sofiah"
"Sure" she walked away, smiling so widely.

I waited for so long, without seeing any signs of Lois coming. It was over an hour I sent her the message. Was she avoiding me? I had waited long enough for her. Several of Uncle Lucas's workers had passed the lake and wondered why I was just
Standing there.
I decided to go talk to her inside. I was already leaving when I noticed she was walking from the garden, as fast as possible. I stood hidden by the corner as I watched her. The slouching of her shoulders didn't go unnoticed by me, She walked closer to the lake as if thinking to herself.
I walked out of my hiding place, towards her. She was backing me, so she definitely couldn't see me. I entwined my hands around her waist ask she jerked and turned in shock, just like I'd expected. She was suprised seeing me.
"Hey babe" I whispered and smiled.
"Olly" she replied in a voice so low, that I almost couldn't hear her. We looked at each other for a while, before I made a grab for her. Funny enough, she was also making a hold for my shift, trying to pull me closer. It gave me a sense of comfort. I wasn't the only one wanting her. She did too.
I kissed her feverishly and plunged my tongue into her mouth. I kissed her deeply as if pouring all I felt into it. I hope she got the message. I needed her in my life right now more than ever. I wasn't scared to lose her because of anything else. I was scared to loose her because I was already in love with her.
I felt her hands gently pulling my hair, and I drew her closer. We kissed for the final time before we pulled away, breathing so heavily and smiling naughtily. We rested our heads on each other's as we tried to calm our breath.
"I see you guys are having quite a time" We turned to see Uncle Luca. I smiled.
"But I'm sorry, I have to cut short your little moment of ecstasy. We have to leave for America immediately" He looked serious.
"Why uncle?" I pulled away from Lois, as I walked towards him. I had a feeling there was trouble in paradise. And I was right."
"Marco. He's planned an attack. I don't know how he got so much information as to where my Den is located, but one thing is for sure. There's a snitch, and we have to leave now"
I turned to look at Lois and she seemed horrified. Colour had drained from her face. I walked to her and face palmed her "Babe"
"Olly, how bad is it" she sounded like she was going to collapse anytime soon.
"Not so bad, Calm down. It's a good thing we got the information on time. Everyone is gonna be safe. Trust me."
"Baby girl, be strong. It's not as serious as it seems." Uncle Luca chuckled.
"Alright Uncle, Alright" She replied, inhaling deeply.
"We are going to use the dispersal mode this time. Not everyone will go to the U.S with us today. Some will be left behind in our various hideouts, to supply us with important information when needed. The whole den will be cleared in the next 20 minutes. Oliver and Lois, go pack up your stuff, the men are getting ready. We leave in thirty minutes.

25 minutes later
Lois Pov
We came downstairs to an already deserted mansion. I couldn't see a single worker in the Den. I could hear the sound of a chopper outside. That was when I remembered Sofiah.
"Let's go" Uncle Luca called out to us, as he walked towards us, dressed in a simple white button up shirt and Denim jeans.
He and Oliver walked towards the door until they realized I wasn't following. Oliver turned.
"Babe! come on" Oliver shouted, so his voice could overshadow the sound from the chooper blade. Uncle Luca turned.
"Sofiah!!" I screamed. Oliver walked back and drew me by the arm.
"We have to leave now, babe" I followed him as he pulled me out, towards the chooper. I was reluctant to leave.
"But what about Sofiah? Is she safe?" I asked for the hundredth time.
"She's inside the chooper. I'd be damned to leave her behind" Came Uncle Luca's voice.
I didn't know the meaning I read into his words. But what I knew for a fact was that, no one leaves behind anybody they truly cared about. I smiled as we walked towards the awaiting chopper.
He would be damned.......
