Opening my eyes, I found myself in a pitch-black void. It was mind-boggling to consider the fact that this place seemed to have no end. Logically, if something doesn't expand, it would be contained within a finite space. But the void seemed to defy this logic - there was nothing to expand or contract. Was this emptiness finite or infinite?
I lifted my hands and attempted to create a fireball, but in the absence of oxygen, it fizzled and died as soon as it left my palm. "Just an empty space," I muttered to myself as I surveyed my surroundings.
[I've sorted out the causality. Do you want to take in all the wishes for yourself, or leave some out?]
"Exclude the wish for a penis enlargement" I called out.

Once again, I opened my eyes to find myself in a small, dilapidated house. As I stirred, the rats and roaches scurried away in fear.
With some effort, I propped myself up and made my way to the kitchen to check out my new body in the mirror. My reflection showed me a person with greasy hair, oval-shaped glasses, and an overweight physique. This body was almost identical to the fat kid I had met in the angel's house. It was also in terrible condition.
1 grabbed a knife and made a small cut on my wrist, watching in amazement as the wound healed just as quickly as it had in my previous body. "I need to get stronger, right?" [Yes.]
"How hard would it be to accomplish that if I use my powers?"
[Almost impossible. This world seems to be a modern world with neither magic nor chakra. You've already expanded your senses, yet you detect nothing abnormal.]
"That's troublesome. Is it possible to lock my powers?"
[It is, but not without your consent.]
"Do it" I said firmly.
*Ssssss*
Steam escaped from my body like a pressure cooker, and I felt myself becoming heavier and more sluggish. Even simple movements, like extending my hand, required me to angle my entire body.
"Daniel Park, huh...," I muttered as I tried to get a feel for my new body.
1 wondered how the original owner of this body had been.
[Piss poor.]
"...Let's look around for now," I said, trying to push aside my irritation.
[Memorize a map first. Otherwise, you'll get lost.]
"Can't you do that for me?"
[Don't be lazy, Eren.]
"Call me Daniel," I said, scowling.
[I'lI think about it.]
"You've become sassier lately," I complained.
[You've gotten softer lately] came the quick reply.
[Narrator Pov]
As he looked around the shabby room, he saw a few of his belongings as well as his high school ID from "J Highschool." He realized that he was an orphan whose mother had recently died.
With no money, he would soon have to leave school, but he wasn't very troubled by it until he realized he would need to earn money, which would be impossible without an adequate educational background.
Whining about his situation, he picked himself up and went to his computer to explore this new world. As he searched online, he soon found out just how bizarre this society was.
It was a dystopian world that was paranoid about the existence of "ghouls," which were essentially superpowered zombie vampires that needed to feed on humans to survive. For this reason, an entire government agency was tasked with policing these monsters and trying to eradicate them altogether.
In particular, Seoul seemed to have more aggressive ghouls, perhaps because the high concentration of people made the urban area a prime feeding ground.
The city was divided into wards, with the human government being centralized in Ward 1 - Chiyoda - and the ward numbers progressing outward in a clockwise spiral.
Ward 1 was the safest for humans, with Wards 2 through 4 also being relatively safe for humans and less safe for ghouls. Though the CCG had a branch office in Wards 2, 11, 13, and 20, its level of control varied in each of these areas.
Most ghouls either lived in hiding or tried to blend into human society, which was also why so many ghouls wore masks when participating in ghoul activities.
The existence of ghouls resulted in a hierarchal subculture that was present throughout all of greater Seoul, with ghouls fighting over scraps of flesh from dead bodies or even competing for prey, all just to survive. It was a power struggle and turf war over control of the various wards.
As he read more, he was able to confirm his suspicion.
