บท 220: The Scent Of Jasmine

The footsteps got louder as they approached the cell that Guild was held in.

He could tell from the sounds that it was his place the person was coming to.

Perhaps it was the king who had realized that he had been quick to jump to conclusions and had been wrong about who arranged the messed up medicine — something that the eunuch would never do.

Guild rushed to the iron bars and grabbed them, his heart full of hope. The hope he felt illuminated through his face that almost wore a smile.

"M-My King..." Guild muttered even before seeing anyone.

The footsteps stopped right in front of Eunuch Guild's holding cell and the perfume that the person wore warped the whole place.

The scent of jasmine. A woman.

Guild looked from the shoes of the woman standing in front of him till he got to her face. Then he gasped.

"You..." he muttered. There was a sneer on his face that made him look like he was about to kill the person he was looking at.
