"Failed Ones?" Calis asked. Lee Seng looked up and nodded. He scooted back into the mat, leaning against the cool wall.

"They're a constant reminder of what the Biohuman serum did to get to where it was." Lee Seng folded his hands together. "My Dad… he, uh, tested a lot before the Biohuman serum became a success. The Failed Ones or the Failed Experiments are what they were called. Many died from the unstable serum, but those who didn't quite die, were locked in the underground.
