Peaceful months passed, in which Khan hardly left Baoway. His rare trips only involved destinations inside the Empire's domain. Otherwise, guests, visitors, and aspiring business partners always came to him.

A prolonged stay on the planet usually involved long training sessions and proper seclusion. However, Khan rarely found the time to focus on himself.

Deals involving magic items stole much of Khan's time. The field was purely experimental, so failures were common. He steadily improved, but the process remained time-consuming.

Prince Thomas' addition to Khan's belt also brought an endless sea of meetings. Khan lost count of the number of dinners, lunches, breakfasts, and other political events he attended to secure his Uncle's businesses. As profitable as the process was, Khan saw it as his personal hell.
