This guy is pretty strong. But as for his bird… (Lesser Phoenix Lv36) that was all the information I could get. Wait a phoenix? You mean like those birds of legend? The tamer looked at his bird, the avian had determination in its eyes and was awaiting his instructions.
"Nigel." Said the Tamer.The bird screeched in response. "Alive." The bird screeched in understanding. The man raised his hand and the bird lifted off. The bird flying through the air was a majestic sight. Well… it would have been majestic if I didn't know I have a legendary bird that's out for my blood now.
Oh...shit. Trying to outrun a phoenix sounds like some kind of metaphor and it's the worst thing I could do right now. The phoenix locked on to me, in this situation it's the predator and I'm the prey. The Bird showed its sharp talons showing clearly what it's intentions were. It dove towards me at breakneck speeds.
I rolled to the side to avoid its attack, it seems like it wasn't expecting me to actually dodge an attack. Maybe that would have worked on other rats but not this one! The Bird looked at me with annoyance, Its sharp eye gazing right through me.
It started flying higher and higher, I could barely see it in the sky. It's wings started to glow white and it started to hover in place. It waved its wings in a cutting motion. At first I was confused because I couldn't see anything. But then I saw some very hard to see blades of air coming right for me. I reacted just in the nick of time and dodged the blades. I looked back at the bird and saw it diving right for me! Wait, it used the first attack as a distraction to its main attack!
OH NO! I'm not going to have enough time to dodge! But I can still make use of this opportunity using my tail! Right as the bird closed in I smacked it with my tail at the last possible moment. The bird hit the ground and got disoriented. Now's my chance to run!
I started running but then I felt a sharp pain on my left side stopping me in my tracks. The bird did manage to cut me, its talons were so sharp I didn't even feel it at first! The wound wasn't leaking blood, it's only skin deep. But if I want to keep fighting then I need to stitch it up or else it might get worse. I remember seeing a market stall with sewing materials, if I can just make it there I can stitch myself up!
The bird was still dizzy from its hard landing so I took the chance and ran for it. "What are you doing!? It's getting away!" the Tamer said to the bird. The bird turned to look at me but I could tell it was still a bit disoriented. I back tracked through the marketplace and saw in detail how much destruction that dog had caused. Burn marks and destroyed stalls everywhere.
After a quick search I found the stall. It was left mostly intact, some products were just kocked over but that was it. There were a bunch of pieces of cloth and sewing thread everywhere, all I needed to find was a small curved needle. I started searching through a bunch of boxes full of thread, I found some thread that was black that'll be perfect for hiding the fact that I was wounded.
I found a box of emergency needles under the cash register that had the needle I wanted. I used a small hand mirror and went to work stitching myself. I remembered the time I got stabbed and couldn't go to a hospital, so I watched a YouTube on first aid and stitched myself up. I musta done something right because I recovered pretty well after.
First I cleaned my wound with some water that was in a bucket. Then I stuck the needle and thread in my wound. In and out, in and out. I started stitching myself up, It hurt a bit but I've been through worse. As I finished the last stitch I could hear heavy flapping overhead. "Is that Damn Bird back!?" I yelled.
I Grabbed a piece of red cloth and wrapped it around my waist to cover my wound. That'll keep me together, at least for now. Then I heard something strange… silence. The bird wasn't flying above me anymore! Where did it go? Wait, I know how this cliche works! If you can't seem to find an enemy anywhere they are definitely…
Right behind you.
The bird stood over me smugly, as if it thinks it's already won. "How about a bath you glorified pigeon!" I yelled as I threw the water bucket over it. The bird was very surprised by this and looked at me with anger. It Tried to take off but it seems to have a lot of trouble doing so. I used this as a chance to jump on it and do some heavy damage!
I started biting the bird, if it's worked before it'll work again...right? The bird started thrashing around in a panic. Was It just me or was the bird getting hotter and hotter? It was, and it was getting so hot I had to jump off! The Bird was quite literally glowing hot. It looks like I made it absolutely furious! All of the water that was covering it had evaporated as steam.
The bird was covered in brilliant flames that covered it completely. The bird's face seemed like it was in pain. It started thrashing around uncontrollably and extinguished it's flames. I ran an analysis on it and saw this.
(Status: Infected: [Immuno-deficiency: All immunities that the host may have had naturally are compromised] )Huh? That is a little too convenient! So basically the bird's own flames started to damage it? So that means it can't use flames! Looks like this just tipped in my favor.
The bird was still recovering from it's burns, I bet it's never felt what being burned feels like so it must have been extra shocking. I started smacking the bird with my tail. It was trying to block with its wings but was quickly getting overwhelmed by my barrage of hits. Each hit was strong enough to leave deep cuts.
"Just what do you think you're doing to my Nigel!?" It was the Tamer! He found me, I'll have to make it quick! I grabbed the birds head and pulled on in till I hear a *CRACK* and a *POP*.
(Lesser Phoenix has been defeated)

"Now why did you have to go and do that!?" Yelled the Tamer. The bird's corpse set itself ablaze instantaneously. I immediately backed away from it and saw as it turned itself into ash. From the ash I saw a bird emerging almost as good as new! "Now he'll be mad at me for next week! Thanks a lot, little rat! Nigel, come back." Ordered the Tamer
The bird flew towards his Tamer and landed on his arm. The bird screeched in his face. "Yeah I know, I know." The bird gave another screech. "You think so? Well if you say so." The Tamer Reached into his pocket and pulled out a small golden colored caterpillar. He gently placed it on the ground.
"Please, please do NOT kill him!" said the Trainer… I mean Tamer! A Caterpillar? How is that going to- (level too high for analysis)
Oh.
In the blink of an eye the caterpillar Headbutted my stomach. It Felt like getting hit by an MLB level pitch. It sent me flying it to a wall, my brain had no time to react or even feel the pain. It fired some yellow colored silk at me and pulled me closer like a fisherman that hooked a fish. It spun me around in the air like a tornado. I was getting extremely dizzy. After I managed to grab the silk it slammed my body against the ground, each hit felt like I had broken something.
It kept slamming me till I stopped resisting. My vision was getting fuzzy, and my thoughts were fading. The caterpillar spun a cocoon around my body but leaving my head exposed. It fired a piece of silk at my mouth to keep me from biting. "Eh, I think he'll live." said the tamer. "Too bad I can't add him to my team. I really need the money the merchant will give me." he said.
The Tamer pulled out a napkin covered in some liquid. He held it up to my nose to get me to smell it but I held my breath in defiance. My lungs started to burn from the lack of oxygen. I gave in and took a small breath smelling the napkin, it smelled a little sweet. Almost instantly I felt sleepy.
Ah fuck is this really how I'm going to be cought alive for the first time ever? By some man in a pet*r pan costume and his pet caterpillar? Good thing no one from my old crew will ever find out or else I'd never hear the end of it…
I passed out.
