"Son, there is a thin line between control and ruling. As those who rule, it is our greatest shame if we ever control." A man spoke to a young boy of only 5 years of age.
"What is control father?" the boy asked in return.
"Ah, it doesn't matter Damien." The man responded, regretting his words.
"Son, we are wielders of death. We do not control it; we merely wield it. We can prolong death or cut it short, but we cannot command it." The man spoke again, this time to a teenager at 12 years of age.
"Why not father? Do we not have the ability to command death?" the boy asked.
"No Damien, we do not. That is reserved for death and death alone. It is not right for a mortal life to command the forces of nature. It is against the will of the heavens." The man responded.
