Some time ago. On the Southern continent. Another story was taking place.
The Sun hero party had just arrived in the town of New Seelnd.
Hayden, Maya, Tentia, Etherea and Emilia were walking around town, admiring the scenery.
Before long, they had sat down at a table in a well regarded restaurant.
"Hey, Hayden~." Maya was the first to speak.
"I think we should replace someone from our party." she said.
"Where did this come from?"
"I mean. We have you for vanguard and tank, me for healing and magic and Tentia for support. I tgink that's enough."
'Besides, I need to remove the competition.'
"Yes. But Etherea is great at helping me with the vanguard role because it is difficult to tank and attack at the same time and Emilia is really good at baiting enemies, finding traps and helping with long ranged support." Hayden replied, unwilling to remove anyone from his self imposed 'Harem'.
"Fiinneee. But we do still need more support. Someone with buffs, debuffs and strategy would be nice. Although I have some of that covered it is pretty difficult to buff anyone exept you. Oh! And let's make it a guy this time. Only having one guy in the party has some inconveniences."
'At keast this way, those women will be distracted by the new guy and let me have more of Hayden's attention~ Fufufufu~!'
"That is true..."
'But that would ruin my harem dynamic..'
With both Maya and Hayden having difficult yet very different inner monolouges while talking to each other, the others had already ordered their food and started eating and chatting away.
Tentia, hearing what Hayden and Maya had talked about looked out the nearby window and said.
"New member? What about that guy."
Pointing outside the window, the others quickly looked at who the usually quiet girl was pointing towards.
A man was ealking down the street. With slightly curly and lightly messy brown hair that was covering a bit of his face, a small scar on his lip. He height was above average and his build was slightly on the slim side. He was wearing black rimmes glasses, a white turtleneck, black pants and boots along with a large, brown, unbottened, leather trench coat. He had an old rapier hanging on his right side, right above an old looking book.
While walking the man was humming a familiar tune that was barely audible in the densely packed restaurant.
"Why him?" Hayden asked Tentia.
Looking at him in the eyes, Tentia stated.
"His aura."
Looking back towards the man, he was nowhere to be seen.
"..where did he go..?" Hayden muttered.
"Oh, me? I went behind you."
With everyone at the table suddenly jumping up and getting ready to fight, Hayden drew his sword and pointed it towards the man.
"Woah. Now, now. I have no plan to fight any of you in this nice little family owned restaurant. I just felt a few too many pairs of eyes on me and wanted to check it out."
The man said with a slight smile as he slightly shook both hands infront of him. He didn't look distressed nor nervous at all.
"Who are you?" Hayden asked.
"Mmh? I'm just a bloke who was in a Sanctuary a bit too long."
Recognizing the accent, Hayden's eyes widened as he thought.
'Are there other reincarnators in this world other than me?'
".. why do you speak like that?"
"You sure do like your questions don't you?"
"Just awnser." Hayden said as he gripped his sword tighter.
'Only I am worthy enough to have memories of my previous life.' the dark thought in his mind arrived and left as fast as one could blink.
"Fine fine. No need to threaten anyone here. I picked it up from a Sanctuary quest, you probably recognize it from there. Oh and I suggest you put away your weapons and sit down if you don't want any bystanders to call the guards." the man said.
Looking at eachother, the party put down their weapons and sat back down, still weary.
"I knew he was strange the moment Tentia pointed him out." Maya exclaimed.
"..that scared me so much.." Emilia said to no one in particular.
"Right?" the man said as he sat next to Emilia.
Looking towards her, he noticed how she was slightly trembling.
"It's fine lass. I don't bite, or scratch for that matter."
Seeing Emilia calm down slightly, he turned his attention to Hayden, who was focused on the surroundings.
"Anyway. Why where you looking at me?"
"Ah- we were looking for a new member to add to the party." Hayden blurted out as he snapped back to reality and tried to ignore the gazes of the surroundings.
"Okay. So why look at me?"
"Tentia here pointed you out."
The black haired foxkin felt a chill down her spine as the man focused his attention on her.
"Y-You had a weird aura."
"Hmmm."
The man narrowed his eyes.
"Okay. Well good day to you lot then."
Then stood up and left.
A minute later, Hayden broke the silence.
"I think we should reqruit him. He is interesting and I have a few questions of my own for him."
"I think the same." Tentia added.
"Huhh!?? Are you-" Maya then started her usual rant.
...
My name. Is Will.
I used to live at a place called the 'church'.
After receiving a sword as a gift from onee-san, I had started to train in using it.
After a few days, I had heard from the sisters that onee-san is a bad person who escaped on a bad ship to the sea. I did not believe them and decided to ask her myself.
But I didn't have the money to buy a boat.
I asked around outside the 'church' and a few strong looking men advised me to get really really strong and then go to a Sank Tuarii. I think the men were drunk.
I kept training with my sword and then, after a few weeks I found out about the existance of the [System]. I found some things that the sisters had no idea about. Elements never before heard of.
I started feeling confident and left to the town's most dangerous Sanctuary that I had heard about from those strong men.
After I sneaked in, a sudden picture with words appeared infront of my eyes.
Something about a quest. I also learned about the location where this quest should take place. I was tasked to become a guard and save the life of the queen.
The name of the location? London.
