Gabi kept stirring the stew and muttering angrily when she heard a sound that just didn't seem right. 

"Did you hear that?"

Silas and Gabi looked each other in the eyes.

Something was off.

Gabi heard it again.

They were being ambushed. 

She continued to stir the stew with one hand while her other hand reached for the daggers expertly kept away within reach. 

Silas reached for his gun and gave a low whistle informing Dobby of the imminent danger. 

When the first dart flew, Gabi managed to escape it.

Silas dodged his as well.

Thinking the enemy would show themselves. They positioned themselves against each other's backs and got ready for the onslaught of attacks. 

That was their mistake. They gave the enemy the upper hand by arranging in one place. 

This time the darts were numerous and they came at once quelling any chance to avoid them.
