Clarissa gently chewed on her meat and swallowed before putting down her cutleries. 

She took a sip from her wine while the room waited for an answer. 

She turned her head, ever slow and graceful. With a look of complete disregard in her eyes. "I'm not answerable to anyone and wouldn't it be better if you learned to mind your own business?"

Martha smiled but her hand curled into a fist. She still didn't know why her new partners hadn't showed up. 

She looked at Kieran wondering if he'd found out about her. If so, she would have already been in the dungeons. 

She also hadn't received any reply from them. What was going on?

Kieran stared at Martha. She was disturbed about something but Clarissa appearing in the dining room as her normal self had caused no reaction in her.

Could it be that king derrick was acting alone this time?

It didn't seem likely.
