Kieran stared at Clarissa surprised. He had never heard her speak with so much passion about anything. 

He wondered if he was wrong and the dark witches still had some control of some sort on her. 

When he tightened his grip on her hand to check for any remnants of magic he felt nothing. 

Clarissa frowned wondering why he had suddenly gripped her so hard. "What are you doing?"

"Nothing, I'm just surprised. I never realized you cared about other people."

"One second." she said, raising a hand up. "I never said I cared. I'm saying I noticed that your people are suffering and you should fix it. You have been to my kingdom. How many dilapidated houses falling over themselves and people suffering on the streets or unnecessary taxes that weigh down already weak finances did you happen to see?"

Kieran thought about it and realized there was none. King Gabriel did a good job in taking care of his kingdom and the people in it.
