He ignored her question and tried to keep his own anger in check. "Why are you late? We agreed you would be back by morning."

"That was why you tried killing me?!" 

Okay she was getting even more angry. Stopping the carriage so abruptly was a terrible mistake.

"It wasn't an attempt on your life... "

"Shut up!..."

Kieran's eyes sparked with anger. 

"...Hearing your voice is giving me a headache. Don't try it next time. "

Raven noticed that Kieran was distracted and used that opportunity to launch a ball of fire at him. 

But then, things didn't go as planned.
