บท 45: Love Perseveres

Michael Chen was coming out of the meeting room with Evan Russell and was feeling good about the outcome of their meeting when he saw walking past him was Ben and Cyd, who were having a light conversation. Michael instinctively followed the two with his eyes and tried to listen in on them. It sounded like the two were having a good-natured debate about an important client who overlooked his bills with the firm.

"Can't I just send him a reminder letter again for the unpaid balance, please?" Cyd asked Ben.

“Like we have been sending him reminders for the last six months and still nothing. You need to call him this time.”

“But Ben, he is a Pehin and a top government official!”

“And I heard one of the nicest guys out there!”

“Well, being a nice guy is one thing, but receiving a call asking him to pay up, would be another matter."

“So, you don’t want to call?”

"No, I value my job here. What about you? Why don't you call?"
