บท 85: Chapter Eighty-Five

Leaving Xoxia…

The thought of anything outside Xoxia drowns me in memories from the past. All this time I've lived in Xoxia, I'm surprised I still have them.

A warm night under a clear sky with the moon and stars tracing my every move. A sunny afternoon of spring, skipping out to...a place that doesn't exist anymore.

Turning away from the biting winter winds, exacerbated by the speed of the trike and clear open curtains, I gather my thoughts of the past and bury them, leaving one at the forefront of my mind, the only one I need now.

I discussed it all with Austin in detail, what to do once out of Xoxia...how to get stronger. The kind gangster I've only spoken to twice previous to this has taken care of everything regarding my escape to the outside.

Including my selfish desire to keep my presence hidden from Vern. Thinking about him, visiting the medic base every day in hopes of meeting me breaks my heart, it's just something he would do.
