No matter how much Fang tried every time it looked like the vines pulled him in the water they threw him out. He grunted before he tried again and again. After certain tries, he heard a very old voice, "Stop trying my child."

Fang looked around, "you are trying to kill her!"

"She is safe with me," he heard the voice speak, "you both have a pivotal role to play in what is to come. I will make sure I do not create any mishap to harm your soulmate but you will have to do everything to keep her safe. This world is out to test the poor girl."

There was silence. Fang stared at the tree, "Are you the Goddess?"

Silence fell in the space.

"Give her back alive and I will take care of her with my life," Fang walked ahead only to be pulled back.
