"What?" Mr. Knight's voice boomed with authority. Honestly, I never thought I would meet anyone louder than my mother.

Aiden ran his hands over his face, tugging at his roots in frustration. I could hear him speak profanities under his breath as he put his hands on his head, his elbows propped up on the counter. "Holy shit..."

Gabe's voice hung open as he slowly processed what he heard. Daxton and Easton had shocked expressions on their faces. Evangeline blinked long and hard while Nolan licked his lips and sighed, looking away. There seems to be drama at the Knight's residence 24/7.

"Does anyone else have something to say? Or should I expect more bombshells in the future?" Mr. Knight's voice resounded through the deafening silence as if he was mocking Brayden's announcement.

"I-I-" Brayden didn't say anything more as his mother gave him a reassuring smile.
