บท 51: Is Aiden Your Bodyguard?

"Bend your toe a bit," Aiden told me from the net. Okay, doesn't he know that I'm not wearing the kind of shoes that will let me play this game freely? His eyes traveled down to my feet, and his mouth forms an 'o'.

"Yeah," I told him.

He blinked at me. "One more shot and bend your toe to get more leverage on where you kick the ball."

He stood in front of the net, soccer gloves on his hands. I furrowed my brows at him, sucking my bottom lip in between my teeth.

"How is it that you play soccer? You play football too." I questioned.

He shrugged his shoulders. "Well, there are no rules that said I'm not allowed to play both. Besides, I already quit football."

"What? So you don't play for the school team anymore?" I asked in surprise because last I checked, he was still a member of the football team.

He rolled his eyes. "I'm from England. We don't call it soccer. It's football. You know, a ball we play with our foot."

"Well, this is America. We call it soccer." I said.
