"It's rare to see you here, [Chosen One]."
Anubis muttered without looking up from the scroll he was reading.
The heavenly being in front of him smiled and looked around the temple. He then waved his hand and a majestic throne appeared before him. He sat down before the god of death and started a small talk.
"Quite a nice place you have."
"That is all thanks to Arnold."
"Quite modest, aren't you?"
"Not really."
The awkward conversation came to a stop with those words. Neither of the two divine beings spoke for the next few moments... Until the [Chosen One] coughed and started again.
"Is it true that you are helping Arnold Tilgen, despite the unanimous decision to abandon him?"
"It was never unanimous, [Chosen One]. I never intended to abandon the child."
Anubis said, finally meeting the being's eyes. He had a gentle yet confronting smile on his face.
"... And you know the consequences of that, don't you?"
