As much as comfort seemed like a better option for Alexander today, he didn't need it. Not like this and not here. He just didn't wasn't to be here to listen to his family pretend to have hope when the risks were growing by the day. 

Gauri Garner in the hospital could only mean that his mother's condition was worsening. They all knew it, they all could see it, and yet even then, they were not in a place to determine what would happen next.
