บท 14: KEEP ABIMANYU
"What's wrong Abi?" asked Kasih after hanging up Linda's call.
"I asked you not to listen to what she said. I have nothing to do with her." said Abimanyu feeling awry.
"Why do you have to hide it Abi? Linda herself said that she is your lover." Kasih said calmly.
"I'm sorry, if you trust her more, you should go home now. I want to take a rest." said Abimanyu with disappointment that Kasih didn't believe him.
"Abi, why are you grumpy? If there really is no relationship with Linda then that's okay. Don't get angry like an angry lover?" said Kasih with a soft laugh seeing Abimanyu who was sulking.
"DEGG"
"Sulk like a lover?" said Abimanyu in a wandering heart, It's true what Kasih said, why should he be angry if it's not true? and why does he have to sulk like he is Kasih's girlfriend? even though he is not her lover, Kasih.
"Abi? you still listen to me right? So, you or not I compress you Bi?" Kasih asked, touching Abimanyu's forehead, whose heat was getting more intense.
"Come home, I won't die just from a fever. It's very late." answered Abimanyu with a voice that began to tremble to hold back his fever, especially the pain in his back and chest which was injured.
"I will take care of you tonight." said Kasih calmly, starting to compress Abimanyu's forehead. Abimanyu moved spontaneously to face Kasih, causing more pain to the wound.
"Ouch." Abimanyu's voice groaned.
"What's wrong with you, Bi? already know the pain is still moving on."
"What did you say, Doctor? keep me tonight? What does it mean?" asked Abimanyu, feeling unsure and in disbelief.
"I mean I won't come home tonight, I will take care of you. Your fever is so high I don't want you to have seizures." said Kasih looking at Abimanyu.
Abimanyu's face turned red and became embarrassed.
"What is this? is this a very beautiful dream? a dream that never crossed his mind. Kasih a doctor who is young and beautiful, staying at his house? for the sake of his being a nobody?" Unconsciously Abimanyu's hand slapped his cheek a little hard.
"Ouch!" shouted Abimanyu, holding his cheek,
"What's wrong with you, Bi? why are you slapping your own cheek?" Kasih asked, surprised to see Abimanyu's slightly strange behavior.
"There was a mosquito on my cheek, it felt like it was biting me, so I killed it." replied Abimanyu with his innocent face.
Kasih chuckled, seeing Abimanyu's room which was neat and clean, it was impossible for mosquitoes to enter the room, let alone biting Abimanyu's cheek.
"Abi ... Abi, your behavior is really cute and very innocent." said Kasih, staring at Abimanyu's red face.
"Why are you laughing and looking at me like that? is there something on my face?" asked Abimanyu, feeling his slightly swollen face.
"Nothing, never mind. Now go to sleep, let me do my job. So that you get better quickly." Kasih said while compressing Abimanyu's forehead again.
"Thank you Doctor, for taking care of me." said Abimanyu with a melting heart.
"You're welcome, shouldn't fellow humans help each other out? now go to sleep so your fever will go down quickly. Tomorrow morning I have to hurry home." Kasih said softly.
"All right, good night Miss Doctor." said Abimanyu with a heart that was flowery with happiness.
While guarding Abimanyu who was already asleep, Kasih opened her cellphone, there were several messages from Gilang with words of anger.
Apart from Gilang, there is also a picture sent from her friend Jane, sending a photo of Gilang with a woman.
Kasih took a deep breath, Gilang never changed, always hurt her and was always like that.
If there was no matchmaking, and if she was not an obedient child, surely she would have rejected this unwanted matchmaking. Forced matchmaking, matchmaking without love.
"Do not go! I beg you, Mom! do not go!" shouted Abimanyu suddenly.
I was flinched, I softly patted Abimanyu's cheek. When she saw Abimanyu's face looked anxious, cold sweat could be seen coming out of Abimanyu's forehead.
"Abi, wake up." Kasih said as she patted Abimanyu's cheek lightly.
Abimanyu, still not awake from his dream, grabbed Kasih's hand and held it very tightly.
"Don't go Mom ... I'll just go." said Abimanyu in a wheezy voice.
Kasih could not bear to see Abimanyu babble, unconsciously pulled Abimanyu's back and drowned in her arms.
"Shhh ... Abi, wake up. What is wrong with you?" asked Kasih, rubbing Abimanyu's back very slowly.
Abimanyu began to wake up from his nightmare, could only be silent in the arms of Kasih.
"I'm sorry, if it scares you." said Abimanyu, moving his back away from Kasih's embrace.
"I'm not afraid, but I want to know what's going on between you and your mom?" asked Kasih looking at Abimanyu's face, which suddenly seemed very cold.
"It's none of your business, you better sleep. It is late." said Abimanyu in an even voice, then turned his back on Kasih.
"If you don't want to tell me, I won't force you, Bi, but you don't have to be cold like that. You still have a fever so don't take the compress again." Kasih said, putting a wet towel on Abimanyu's forehead.
After compressing Abimanyu's forehead, Kasih sat back down and turned off her cellphone and put it on the table.
With a sitting position, Kasih closed her eyes. Sleep had actually attacked her from the afternoon, just because she wanted to protect Abhimanyu, Kasih had to endure her drowsiness.
Abimanyu was silent for a long time, holding a towel to his forehead, closing his eyes. Abimanyu remembered Kasih's words that were still ringing in his ears.
Without making a sound, Abimanyu got out of bed and saw Kasih asleep sitting up without wearing a blanket.
While enduring the pain in his back and shoulders, Abimanyu grabbed the jacket hanging on the wall, and wrapped it lightly over Kasih's body, who was already sound asleep.
"I'm sorry Doctor, I can't tell you anything yet. But believe me one day I will definitely tell you everything." said Abimanyu, staring at Kasih's beautiful face.
