บท 2: Chapter 2: Language Barriers

The thing one Okamis mind right now was food so she didnt bother listening to the girl, mostly because she didnt get the same desire to hunt this girls as she did with the others

Seeing the winged woman about to turn around again Lilith panicked as she quickly grabbed Okamis shoulder once more however this time she pulled out a large metal flask filled to the brim with animal blood

Okami, smelling the blood, quickly locked on to the flask with a sense of longing in her eyes

"See I have what you want, now can you release my men please?" Lilith said gesturing twords the two still bound guards

Understanding what the girl wanted Okami quickly thawed the Ice before snatching the flask away from Lilith, "Geez I understand your thirsty but calm down!"

Okami ignored the gazes directed at her as she quickly took multiple swings from the flask without stopping to breath, once she was finally Okamis face beamed with happiness as she licked the crimson liquid from her lips

"Ah!" Okami tried to offer her thanks for the blood but frowned when she was bearly able to utter a single sound so instead she just offered a thumbs up as she sat down on a large piece of stone and took another sip of the blood using both of her hands to hold it up

Lilith unlike her guards found this very adorable and even offered her another flask when she finished off the first one, In witch Okami obviously took

"Go get some clothes from my carriage were bringing her with us..." The guards looked at each other for a moment as if confirming her words, however after Lilith gave them a quick side glare they both straightened out and did as they were told

After a few moments the guards came back with some simple black garments, including underwear, and a white cloak that had a black interior in witch they offered to the girl sitting on the stone

Okami however stared at them confused as she looked down at her own body only to find herself completely nude with blood stains littering her body, looking back at the guards Okamis eyes narrowed as the air around the four of them began to chill once more

The two guards in response quickly took a step back fearful of what was to come, but it seemed that there employer had things under control

"Calm down I promise they didnt look on purpose" Lilith offered a heart warming smile that mad Okami calm down immediately, 'For some reason this girl reminds me of Lyn.'

Frowning deeply Okami took one last sip from her flask emptying it out before she stood up and snatched the clothes away from the guards with an icy glare

After getting dressed Okami followed the strange woman who fed and clothed her to a luxurious black and gold carriage which had no distinctive insignia

After she stepped inside Lilith soon followed after while closing the carriage door behind her, after the two girls were seated the questions immediately came

"So are you from one of the Avian clans?"

Okami just stared blankly at the woman as she still had no idea what she was saying

"Do you know what I'm saying?" Lilith asked hesitantly while pointing twords her lips

Understanding her intentions Okami shook her head much to Liliths disappointment, "Well that makes things much harder, I could just let her into my mind and show her the language...but at the same time I'm pretty sure she might kill me if she misunderstands my intentions" Lilith sat there contemplating for a moment with her hand on her chin

After a few moments Lilith sighed as she didnt see any other option af this very moment

Reaching out Lilith cupped Okamis cheeks in her palms as she slowly brought her face closer to Okamis

Okami seeing this reacted by quickly grabbing the girls throat and glaring her down, struggling to breath Lilith quickly raised her ha ds in defeat and lowered her head after doing this Okami let go of her throat but her glare persisted

Lilith rubbed her neck and after a few short coughs pointed at her forehead and then at Okamis trying to convey her intentions to the other party

Okami sighed annoyed, 'I'm already this deep might aswell go with it.' Leaning forward Okami pressed her forehead against Liliths with a slight frown

Knowledge about a foreign language quickly filled Okamis mind on repeat unti she finally had a basic understanding of the words spoke, this entire process took only a few seconds overall but those few seconds felt like centuries to Okami as when she returned she couldn't help but check her surroundings confused for a moment before she heard Liliths sweet voice call out to her once more

"I'm sorry if that hurt a bit, but you should be able to understand me now right?" Okamis mind was still fairly fuzzy but she nodded her head in agreement after a few seconds of processing the girls words

"Great then let me introduce myself once more, I am Lilith Nazareth a vampire are you from one of the northern avian clans?" Even though Okami could understand the language now there was still one major problem, and that was she sti could not speak no matter how hard she tried only one sound managed to come out

"A~" Okami clicked her tounge while snorting out a heavy breath, 'This is quickly becoming annoying..' Thinking quickly Okami bit into her index finger hard and ended up drawing only a small bit of blood

'Damn my DEF stat! Whatever though its enough for now' pulling over a metallic try that was tucked away in the corner of the carriage Okami quickly wrote something in ber blood before showing it to Lilith who was utterly confused but decided not to say anything about it

"No, I'm not part of any clan and I neither know were I am or how I really got to this place, and please refer to me as Okami"

Lilith had a wry smile as she gave a quick nod, "Kay then Okami since you dont know were you are and have no where to go why dont you come back with me to my manor at least for now, after all it's not everyday you come across someone such as yourself"

Okami desperately wanted to refuse but when she thought about it for a moment living in a vampires manor might not be so bad especially since she now needed blood to sate her hunger so in the end she reluctantly nodded her head in agreement as she peered outside of the carriage window into the desolate and destroyed town

Seeing the girls curious expression Lilith spoke up while leaning forward to get a better view of there surroundings, "They say a few hundred years ago this place was a nice and cozy little village that was often used as a vacation spot"

"However a strong monster appeared in the town square and massacred the villagers, after that no one really knows what happened except a few adventures who came back severely traumatized and injured, but there stories were always full of nonsense"

Okami nodded her head taking in all the information she could, as even she herself bearly remembered what happened

'I wonder what Lyn and Sarah are up to right now.."
