บท 90: An Invitation

The rainy season was upon them, as it always was at the end of the summer and during the autumn. It dropped heavily and effortlessly, with no aim or intention other than to fulfill its own nature, which was to fall and fall.

The man who entered, stepping on the marble floor of Springwood Castle had his clothes soaking wet. The butler stared at him in astonishment because he had a hard time recognizing his master. He flinched when a blood-stained sack was thrown at his feet.

"Get the bag and take it to the kitchen. Tell the cook I want it prepared for dinner. Where is Hope?" Drake wanted to find her and see if she was feeling better now regarding her pet.

"Lady Hope is in the grand hall. She is… redecorating," the butler answered, barely muttering the last part.
