บท 70: Taking Over

Days passed while Hope spent time trying to find ways to connect with animals without the need for physical touch. The plan of using telepathy was indeed interesting, to say the least. Also, the idea of using a mole to reach the gigantic snail seemed very resourceful. Still, nothing produced any results.

It was already afternoon when Hope finally gave up her previous ideas. Maybe after some rest, she would manage to come up with a better plan. Certainly, the snail was not out of the question yet, however, she might as well try a different route to reach it.

The forest was silent except for the occasional bird call. Hope walked toward the village. When she was close enough, she could hear the sounds of men fighting. Hope hurried onward till she reached the village. A few men were gathered nearby in a circle, watching the fight with wide eyes and vicious grins.
