บท 52: Chapter 52 More knights.
I walked with Mom and Leo and headed to the dining area.
"Okay so when you blocked the guy with the axes did it hurt?" Leo asked me.
"Guy with the Axes?" Mother asked.
"It was in the first fight and the fact of the matter is he pushed me back a good 5 feet with that blow so I do not think hurt is the right word but it did make my arms go numb from the impact of the blow." I tell them both.
"What did I miss in the first match?"
"The one guy ended up losing his arms and was going to be beheaded when Diana stepped in and stopped him and the announcer said the match was over." Leo said.
"He was a Torant I had to step in." I said with a huff. "If i hadn't the clan I am the heir to would have been in some big trouble."
"Why?"
"Because if you cut the head off a vampire they are dead." I told her.
"Oh." She said softly. "Why would he be aiming for it then?"
"Because in the mandatory tournament killing is valid that is why Queen Noctis got away with killing Uncles mate to be because they were part of the tournament." I tell her.
"Oh." She said softly.
"For us this take the place of wars." Leo tells her.
"No one here could afford another war so they came up with the tournament and honor duels." I explained.
"That makes sense." She said softly.
"Indeed." Father said as he stepped out of her shadow making Leo Yeek.
"Leo, it's okay." I said, patting his shoulder. "This is my Father Lord Nicodemus, Father my young knight Leo."
"Hello young man." Father greeted.
"Greetings Lord Nicodemus." He said bowing to him.
"Just Nicodemus please." He said with a smile. "You will be dealing with my daughter for the next 10 years minimum so best to be on friendly terms young one."
He blushed again. "Yes sir." He said. "I mean Yes Nicodemus." He said after father gave him a look.
"Good lad!" He said laughing at him.
"So where are we headed?"
"The Dining area Father." I sighed as I walked toward the dining room.
I stopped and listened as we got near the hall and I could hear someone being reprimanded. "Sounds like the King and Queen got a hold of the knights." Leo said softly.
"Oh yea." I agreed with him. "Sounds like some people are about to have their hands taken off."
"I hope that is not what happens." Mother said, looking worried.
"If they do take their hands they will be healed in a week." Father tells her.
"That does not make it better Nic." She huffed.
"Come lets go." Father said as he took the lead.
"Agreed this is not something I need to hear." I huffed and fell instep with Father.
"I honestly can't believe they let you take me." Leo said and I stopped as I held the door open.
"Why wouldn't they? You are not being cared for and as a head knight I can request any knight from any clan to train under me if I wish to do so." I remind him.
"I know but still."
"You heard your king and queen raging at them, Leo, their actions were not acceptable." Father said as we sat down and food was given to mom and blood was given to the rest of us.
"True." He said softly as he drank his blood and I hummed softly as I drank mine.
Silence rang out after that and I leaned against my Father as we watched the others intermingling with the other clans. "Care to make a vager?" Father asked me.
"What is the wager?" I asked him
"Kat." He said pointing to her as she was surrounded by male knights.
"Oh that is not going to end well." I said leaning back.
"No it won't but how long till she tells people off?" He asked me.
"30 minutes because she will start telling them to back off here in about 10 then she will lose it after they don't leave her alone in 20 minutes." I huffed.
"I was going to say 10 minutes before she starts swinging." He said.
I snort. "If we were home sure." I agreed with him. "But we are not."
"How much are you willing to bet on that?"
I stopped and thought about it. "If she blows up in 10 minutes I will make Regulus a yuza necklace but if she doesn't you have to make Mother one." I said.
"Deal." He said, shaking my hand as I grinned as we watched.
"It looks like both of us are losing." I said after a few minutes and Kat's father chased off the knights. I chuckled as I looked around the room and all but spat my blood out with what I saw. I growled as I pushed myself out of my chair.
"Oh boy." Father said as I stormed over to Logan and some other woman who was all over him.
"Now please leave me, my lady would not like you doing this." Logan said as he tried to get away from her again.
"Excuse yourself." I snap at the woman.
This made them both look at me.
"My Lady!" Logan said as this finally made the female let go of his arm.
"Can I help you?" I asked her.
"Oh ummm."
"You should not be hanging off royals like some whore looking for work." I spat at her, making her blush.
"Now see here!" She shrieked.
"What is going on here?" Prince Hart asked as he came up to us then stopped as he looked at the female and sighed. "Nadia leave the royals alone please we do not need your little stunts making issue for them and their mates or mate-to-be." She looked about ready to shriek again.
"What is going on here?" Prince Wilson asked.
"Nothing Wilson, just dealing with some of my uncle's troubles." He said. "Speaking of which, should you not be finding my uncle Nadia? I am sure he would love to have you serve him again."
"Oh so she is a whore." I said glaring at her.
"Diana." Logan said softly
"What?" I asked him.
"Please, my love." He sighed.
"Fine." I huffed and pulled him with me away from them.
"I am sorry about that Love she would not take no for an answer." He tells me.
"I figured as much." I tell him as I turn around and pull him into a kiss.
"Someone is possessive today." He breaths.
"Can you blame me?" I asked him. "Have you not noticed how many females are looking at you like your meat?" I asked him.
"I could ask the same thing to you but with males?" He growled at me.
"And you know damn well I will kick their tails if they come onto me." I remind him.
"Or I will." He hummed.
"Or you can just make an announcement and not be kissing on my niece in front of me." Uncle said.
"Uncle go away." I tell him as I lean against Logan.
"Nope, come on, the clan wants to meet you." He said.
"Okay okay I am coming." I said pulling myself upright and followed him to his group of knights.
"Night's blessing everyone." I said, making them all look up at me.
"Princess!" They all said smiling up at me.
"That is a title I am going to have to get used to."
"You will thought." Uncle smiled as he led me to the open seat.
"I know some of your names from the fights and so help me if you get back in that ring I am going to take an ear and if that doesn't work I will take an eye Owen Wills." I said glaring at him.
"Oh I already had words with him." Uncle said.
"Yes, my King already let me have it, my Princess." He agreed with him as he looked down.
"Good now what…" I stopped as someone placed blood in front of me. "Thank you but no thank you." I pushed it away from me.
"You okay." He asked me.
"I am fine, I just had a goblet." I told him.
"I see and then you told off a hooker." He said. I snorted as I looked at him.
"She would have been slapped if she had not let him go." I muttered.
"In anycase." Uncle said. "This is my head knight, Lucus Raid."
"Princess." He nodded to me.
"Then we have our strongest knights Owen Wills, Rex Neal, Opal Rignes, Richard White, and Yang Toth." Uncle introduced them.
"Princess." They said.
"Greetings." I said.
"Then their young knights Dylan rain, Hanna carter, Carter williams, Logan white, Paul Wills, Nela Torant, and Onyx Rignes." He introduced us.
"Greetings all of you." I said softly.
"Greetings Princess." They waved at me and I smiled at them as I leaned back in the chair and a different cup was put in front of me and I looked behind me.
"Chef Vicky." I said.
"Hello Lady Diana." She said with a smile. "I figured you would want some tea so I made some for you. I have a pot for you and Jason just let me know if you want more." She said as she smiled at everyone before turning and leaving and I started sipping on my tea.
