Someone knocked lightly on Aisling's cottage door the next morning. She was already dressed in casual jeans and a t-shirt, so she opened the door. Naturally, she knew it was Kitchi before he knocked.
She stepped outside and closed the door before facing him.
Kitchi's disappointment at being rejected once again from entering Aisling's house was palpable.
However, Aisling did not change her mind. She did not like people's breath in her personal space. If she let anyone in her house, she would be able to sense their breath, the residues of their auras, for at least a week.
It might not be considered a crippling problem, but she did not like the sensation of a ghost drifting in her house.
Changelings, in particular, had very strong auras. If they stepped in any place, their energy would linger for a long time.
An alpha wolf like Kitchi would probably necessitate a cleansing if he entered her house. Otherwise, she would not be able to sleep with the foreign presence.
