บท 127: "She Has To Take The Blame"

"I want to prove my innocence– that I didn't poison the cookie, like what this lady accused me." Lai Jiayi squinted her eyes as she gawked at Yu Ziyuan. 

The woman instantly flinched. 

Yu Ziyuan lowered her head and didn't say anything while Zhao Yang only nodded. 

"Continue," he said in a mild voice. 

"As you can see, if I poison the cookie, I won't know which one isn't poisoned as I also eat the same cookie as Zhao Yun ate." 

Lai Jiayi played with the cookie in her hand, as she explained in a clear voice. The girl didn't stutter even once, forgetting her fear of men and focused her attention on Yu Ziyuan instead. 

Lai Jiayi looked up at Yu Ziyuan, ignoring Zhao Yang, and continued, 

"So it's dumb to think that I poisoned the cookie. If I did, I'd also get poisoned– " 

"But you can just poison that one cookie!" Yu Ziyuan suddenly interrupted with a red face. Her body was shaking hard.
