บท 48: "It's Over"
"It's over, quack. The barometer keeps dropping, quack..." Yaya slumped to the floor as his eyes turned dim.
'The first meeting we designed so hard, the romantic, fateful encounter led to a destruction in the end.'
Once she heard Yaya's words, Lai Jiayi's legs became weak.
"I'll go chase after Zhao Yang. I-i will grab his thigh and– "
"It's too late…" Yaya murmured, and he suddenly stopped moving.

The duck seemed to lose all hope, and this only made Lai Jiayi panicked even more.
'I can't lose just yet. Do I lose just in 2 days? No! My father is at stake here!'
Lai Jiayi looked at the AI and felt her heart was breaking apart.
"If only I don't drop Zhao Yang. If only I manage to slip off properly…." Lai Jiayi murmured again.
'Will the barometer drop? No! it might even rise!'
"Yaya, wake up, Yaya! Tell me the situation…" Lai Jiayi's voice was trembling as she asked Yaya, who seemed to be overloaded.
Maybe his circuits got burnt or something from too much shock, but he's not responding.
The girl was kneeling as she kept calling the Ai's name, but… there's no response.
'What's wrong with Yaya? Why isn't he responding? Is he...dead? But why! Is it because...I get eliminated?'
Panicking, Lai Jiayi shook Yaya's body, trying to wake him up. "Yaya, wake up! Hey! Don't joke around...hey...you are ok, aren't you? Yaya? Answer me...Yaya!"
But then she saw the AI looked like dead. He didn't move. His body grew cold. It's quite warm before, but now...it is as cold as a metallic machine.
'Yaya is...dead?'
At this moment, Lai Jiayi couldn't care much about her being eliminated or not as her focus was on this little AI she was holding.
'If he died...I won't have anyone left in this world. My father would be on the brink of death if Yaya left me too…'

"Z-Zhao Yang must be mad...me a stranger drops him off…" Lai Jiayi wiped her tears.
'If this happened to me, I will be super mad too!'
"Yaya, I'm sorry...I'm sorry...it was all my fault...I will try my best not to act like that anymore...please…" Lai Jiayi poked Yaya's body begging him to respond.
"So please...wake up…"
'I'm wrong. I'm so stupid! Why should I drop him off despite my phobia??'
Lai Jiayi sobbed as her eyes became blurry. A few minutes passed by, and Yaya still didn't respond.
'Does this mean I failed? Do I get eliminated? Thus Yaya doesn't work anymore?'
The girl cried even harder. Her face was so messed up by the tears that even her hair was also messy.
Little did she know, she's just overthinking.
At this moment, Yaya actually had regained his conscious back.
'Ugh...my system froze for a while….' The duck tried to open his eyes.
'Luckily, the barometer doesn't drop anymore! It stops right at 0! It doesn't go minus!' Yaya cheerfully thought.

Yaya wanted to open his eyes and told Lai Jiayi this good news, but then he heard the girl was panicking.
Then, she started to cry even began to confess her mistake, swearing not to did it again. His initial plan to wake up and tell her the good news vanished.
