He wondered if Ambrose was perhaps not as bad as he had first thought.
Houston didn't feel any better when the boss did finally come back. He certainly didn't like anyone who worked in the office. They all seemed rather rough and rude in his opinion. Very different from where he was used to working. Being an outsider though, he didn't have the right to say much about how they ran things.
The man who was in charge of the station looked far more intimidating than Houston had hoped he would. A very no-nonsense kind of man with sharp eyes a straight face that looked as though it didn't know how to smile often.
"Houston Brown?" He asked without looking up from the paperwork that was in his hands. He thumbed through it as he stood in front of where the other was sitting.
"Aren't you going to say anything?" He only stopped to look at the other when the detective didn't reply right away.
