บท 53: The other half

"I take this as you agreeing to spend some time at the grand Enchanted Library?" He smiled when he realized that she had not turned down the idea. Was she in a specifically good mood today? If she was and it was the reason why she was unusually friendly to him, he should do his best to keep her in a good mood at all times. Unfortunately, her mood was more unpredictable than the weather in the human realm.

"I'll just have a word with Rosetta then we can go." She gave him a heads up and rushed to the kitchen where Rosetta was cleaning the surfaces.

She looked startled to see her. "Lady Jasmine!" Her voice sounded nervous too.

Jasmine was amused for a moment before she figured it out. Word had spread that she was in fact a demigoddess and this had scared off the maid who was previously close to her.

She took the few steps that covered the distance between them and smiled. "Rosetta, I'm still the old Jasmine you knew. Please don't be scared of me."
