บท 15: A visit with Nuo
The next day evening I prepared a few extra security personnel to go with us. Hope everything will go as planned. But I still don't know why Nuo wanted to visit there.
After letting our parents know, we left for the hotel. When we arrived we all looked like we were in a movie, like security guards all in black suits and Little Nuo in her yellow floor-length dress, holding on to Genghis.
"Welcome sir, The Manager is waiting for you," said the head of reception.
We followed him to the private dining area. I looked around and saw many were looking at Nuo, hmm.. yes she do really have an amazing posture and a look that you want to look at her again.
"Welcome, please take a seat." said the Manager.
"Thank you," said Gin, seat Her beside her.
"Manager, please meet Miss Nuo, we call her Little Nuo, Genghis's sister," Yin said introducing her.
"Welcome Miss," The Manager looks a bit confused, he was wondering how could this beautiful girl get into a state like this. Nuo smiled at the Manager but held Gin's hand tight.
"Sweety, don't worry ok... all your brothers are here. We'll walk around in a little while," he said tapping on her hand.
She just nodded at what he said, walked up to the window, and looked at the scenery.
"I know, you must be wondering what's wrong," said Gin, after he saw The Manager looking at her for a while.
"She really does seem fine, apart from that I would have guessed she's shy,"
"Yes, many would think like that, but in truth, she still doesn't talk," said Yin.
"She is really a beauty that anyone would look at her twice, but isn't there anything you can do to help," asked the Manager.
"She has a much calmer and more responsive look after I came back here. But still, it's a long way to go," said Genghis.
While we talked, they bought us some refreshments. As Gin was busy discussing I took Nuo a cupcake, with cute flowers on it. She didn't realize I was there till I held the cupcake to her to see. I stood with her and watched out listening to the talk the others are having. I suddenly felt a little tap on my hand.
"Thank you, brother Lan," she has written on her tab.
I stroked her hair playfully and took her back to Genghis. After having some drinks we went around and showed the hotel interior to Nuo. I looked at Nuo, her expression was so different, but Gin held her hand tight. I nudged Yin and showed him, Nuo's expression.
"She seems different," Yin said.
"Hmm, what do you think, I think she is recovering. Hope she will get her memory back soon," I said.
"It will help to find out who did these. And this will also help, Genghis. He has suffered too much."
"Hi... hold on.."
"Why?" I asked. Yin pointed at something. I immediately called Genghis.
"Hi, be careful... act as I am calling from home," I said to Genghis.
"Yes, Lu?"
"HI.. Andy is here,"
"Oh. ok... we'll come back soon." he looked at Nuo and the Manager.
"hmm... Nuo, we'll have to go home now," and he looked at the Manager and said, "Thank you for the tour, but unfortunately something has come up at home. So I will have to leave first."
"Hope everything is alright." He said.
"I will talk with the others and let you know our idea,"
"Nuo, say thank you to this sir," Little Nuo bowed at him.
"It's a pleasure meeting you Miss Nuo."
We all left for home and gathered at night on the beach.
