A month later and here she was, alone in such a big space. Muntaha was done for the past three days. He was also in charge of mediating conflicts between other neighboring towns. 

Sidra didn't enjoy the loneliness as she always did. She got used to having him around her. His subtle touches, his hugs, and his soft smiles. 

Heck, she even missed his silent admiration. True to his words, their return proved to be a lot better than before. 

He spared no effort to elicit a smile out of her. His busy schedule didn't affect their alone time. 

Every time he stepped out, she looked forward to his return. This was because he no longer returns empty-handed. 

Each time, he brought a gift home. A concept she wasn't accustomed to but realized she loved a lot. He would bring something as small as sweet and manage to make her grin from ear to ear.
