บท 203: Changes

Angelo watched his sister's sleeping form. Since her return, his heart was heavy with guilt and helplessness. It was the most useless he had felt since he was born.

Not knowing what ailed her was one thing. Having no clue on how to help her was another.

Three months went by in a blur. He felt extremely disturbed by everything. Zira was mad at him for he hardly gave her his attention.

He had dedicated his energy and time to caring for his sister. It' was the least he could do. He strongly felt that he had failed her as a brother.

His fingers gently brushed through her hair as his gaze focused on the scroll he was reading. He failed to notice that she woke up just then.

Lily opened her eyes after a night of good rest. It was the first time she woke up feeling properly rested.

Her gaze found her brother's frame. She observed him from head to toe openly not caring if he sensed her scrutiny.
