บท 2: Her significance
( THE WARNING)
Obelia was in chaos.
Ever since after the death of the Forgotten Princess, Obelia went into chaos. No one ever knew the significance of her presence and her impact towards the Empire until it was to late.
Two week later after that fated day the weather started to change. At first it was something minor like rain that lasted for 3 days straight and gloomy clouds that covered the entire Empire. But the Magicians within the Black Tower new better.
It was a sign.
Something and Someone had angered Magic and Nature itself.
(Within the Tower, a man with long black hair and Ruby eyes looked and narrowed his eyes in concentration out his window and watch the sky in great solemn for fear what is about to come.)
And it continues to worsen as time passes.

(The Greatest Banquet of Aristocrats)
When the news of the execution of Athanasia De Alger Obelia spread towards the Other Empires, the Nobles and Royals were skeptical at first. They wanted a confirmation.
So every Empire and Kingdom sent Arlanta a request to hold a neutral Noble and Royal meeting to have a none Hostile 5 days long banquet to see and learn each other without hostility.
It was a perfect setting to see and confirm the truth without harm. Arlanta was known not for it's power or it's strength, but for it's knowledge and Neutral grounds despite being allied towards Obelia.
When Obelia's Noble and Royal received their invitations, they thought it was a trap leaving the Empire with no Nobles to watch it, but it was all thrown out when they investigated the truth and received a notice to travel by magic with the help of Magicians to come to the meeting.
Arlanta took down it's magical anti-teleportion domes to let them come and leave quick as they want..
Obelia thought it would a good opportunity to understand create new allies towards other countries so they prepared themselves and left towards that banquets on schedule.
When they arrived, the Royals and Nobles kept their guards up and attention towards Obelias as the announcer gave their presence until the reached towards the Royals of Obelia.
And when they saw someone else standing next to the Emperor of Obelia, they knew something had gone wrong. It wasn't until they heard the announcement, they felt dread.
"Announcing! Emperor Claude De Alger Obelia! Crown Princess Jennette De Alger Obelia and Consort Prince Ejikeil Alpheus of Obelia Empire." At that, the entire Hall was silenced.
Some went at disbelief. Some looked at confusion. Others froze in shock. Few turned their heads aways in anger while some watched in blanked face dissatisfaction and disappointment.
The Noble and Royals of Obelia mistook their expressions into something of Obelia finally having a proper heir to the throne, but they were wrong. They didn't know that it was because of something else entirely.
The meeting was formal, polite, and strange. The air was solemn and rough and it grew worse when the meeting was interrupted time to time again by Princess Jenette De Alger Obelia's immaturity in the Grand Court of Nobility and Royalty.
Princess Jenette De Alger Obelia was rude towards the representative of other small countries, spoiled towards the Emperor who gave her anything she wants despite it being outrageous, ignorant in not knowing the enemies and allies amongst them, innocent in not knowing the bloody truth of war and combat, completely unaware of her surroundings while making enemies along the way, and her words were so impolite that she doesn't even know what was wrong, unmannered as if she has no training in etiquettes. And what is worse? The Nobles of Obelia act like it was normal.
Obelia may not care about their Princess's behavior but the others were not.

(Her hidden talents)
As the meeting about to end, there was one who couldn't wait for the answer of the greatest question that everyone wanted to hear any longer.
"Emperor Claude, may I have a moment to receive your answer for our question?" The who asked this, was none other than Emperor Deusericus Del Novulo Theus. The ruler of Theus Empire, that is a well known enemy of Obelia.
Theus and Obelia were enemies for 4 generations and it was already forgotten why the two Empires were at war at the first place. It became a war of revenge for the death of their fallen comrades, other than that reason? There were no other. However 6 years ago the soldiers of Theus stop advancing and drew back despite having a great advantage at that time and made no move to towards Obelia since. It brought great confusion to every Empires, Kingdoms, and Countries except for the allied forces of the Theus Empire.
"Oh? Very well." Claude answered in interest for his question.
"May we ask what has become of your daughter First Princess Athanasia De Alger Obelia? We have not heard of her for a while now have we seen for the past 4 days."
That question confused the representative of Obelia at first but soon dread found it's way as that name been uttered. Athanasia was a taboo name amongst Obelia.
Claude eyes went cold as his presence grew dark. None of the Royals cared, they grew used to this kind of presence due to being Royalty themselves. But their composure crack as they heard his answer. "That pathetic wench is dead."
Many had gasp then whispers erupted while shouts of denial and disbelief was thrown in.
"Excuse!?" An old king stood up in shocked.
"Blasphemy!" A prince shouted.
"What!?" A Duke lost his composure.
Many couldn't believe this news. Though some had never met Princess Athanasia face to face but they knew through letters, investigation through spies, and reputation outside of Obelia.
Athanasia De Alger Obelia may be known as the forgotten princess of Obelia, but outside her image was different.
She was known as the hidden sponsor of the several orphanages, relief charities, medical advancement researchers, and many more. That includes the contribution outside of Obelia.
As aristocrats, they investigate and spy on other other countries just to learn every Nobles and Royals's personality. So they new who was Princess Athanasia.
Athanasia De Alger Obelia was known an unacknowledged prodigy amongst prodigies in many subjects to the point that her made and invested in many ideas and contribution towards Obelia and other Countries' Economics that would put scholars to shame, she had a strong heads for businesses, etiquette of a perfect proper Lady and princess, and well love by other countries outside of ceremonies, talented beyond belief in anything she wish learn. Thus making her a literal unmeasurable treasurable valuable asset to every family she can marry into.
No county would want her dead. She was extremely wanted and needed outside of Obelia. Athanasia was someone that was better compared to her ancestors even the current Saint Emperor himself! She was fair dispite being weak, honest despite being shy, knowledgeable though meek, kind however scared she is. But that was understandable due to her environment living as an unfavorable heir.
But that was no matter to them something like those kinds of weaknesses can easily be fix through time and guidance. Those were only flaws in her, but that's her not true flaws. If she was unfavorable then many aristocrats from other countries would sent marriage proposals to claim her as soon as they can, however due to being the only heir to the throne of Obelia they held themselves until there would be a new heir before Emperor Claude reached 40.
In the other words, outside of Obelia she is untouchable and protected. For her to be dead means-.
"Forgive us, but did just say Princess Atha-!" The Duke of Theus.
"Do not speak of that name!" Emperor Claude cut him off.
"Even so, but explain to us how is she dead!?" A prince of Medriba continued for the Duke of Theus.
"Hanging." Claude replied.
"No way." Lady from Siodonna whispered in denial.
Hanging. Meant that Athanasia De Alger Obelia committed a crime against an member of an emperial family.
"On what grounds!?" Hearing this from another Noble outside of Obelia made Felix uncomfortable for some reason, and wasn't the only one. Many Obelian Nobles began to feel nervous of where this topic was heading.
The representative Nobles of other countries would never believe Princess Athanasia would commit a crime that high, nor any crime at all. They were thorough in their investigation on Athanasia even through magical scrying. She was too kind, honest, and compassionate. That was her only true flaws on her perfect image.
"Poisoning Jennette out of jealousy."
"Poisoning!?" That made it more gibberish. If the Princess Jennette and Princess Athanasia were sisters, then Athanasia would have guide her not sabotage her. Then why?
Athanasia De Alger Obelia, from their investigation through spies, was known to be lonely child who wanted a family. Athanasia would have accepted Jennette as her sister without complaints. She wouldn't be jealous. Sure, it would be true that she would be sad if Claude favor Jennette than her, but knowing Athanasia, she could never be jealous. She would have supported Jennette while silently let herself suffer and work harder to gain her father's attention in proper ways. It didn't make sense.
"Was it even investigated!?" Emperor Thragorus Di Drivan of the Drivan Empire questioned loudly. Making Claude annoyed.
Felix saw this and answered in his steed. "It was. It was confirmed that she was innocent as she famed and the culprit was Countess Roselia Judith."
Many women who not Obelian gasp in horror then turned to Lady Judith who was standing close to them, they began to step away from her like a disease. They all looked at Roselia in horror and disgust. At their expressions, Roselia began to feel nervous but stood firm.
Men followed the women's sight and went into stupefaction at her sight alone. "You mean-"
Roselia cut them off. "Yes, it was me. I did it to secure my nieces future."
To Roselia, it was natural to do. To her, Athanasia simple a lady with no talent and no value within Obelia but what she didn't think was Athanasia reputation outside of Obelia.
To others, it was utter stupidity. Does she not know what she had done? She crippled her own Empire that she had serve by eliminating a valuable asset.
"Why?" Someone asked in a breathlessly in horror.
"Is it not normal to have death and assassination within the Empirial families?"
Even though they couldn't refute her reasons but that still didn't change the fact that she killed a valuable asset! what's worse a princess! Not to mention Countess Judith is standing here amongst them and unpunished! "How are you still here then!?"
That is something they now wanted to know. How is she unpunished?
Obelian Nobles looked amongst themselves in silence. They knew what they meant but they were reluctant to answer this question. One wrong move would paint themselves a permanent stain on Obelia's reputation.
"I asked father forgive Auntie because she just wanted to help me." Jennette foolishly answered in cheer with a bright smile.
Idiot girl! The Obelian Nobles thought in horror at her blunt words. Did she think of the consequences of her words alone!?
But it was to late. No way. It's just like that? Nothing else? Are these Obelian aristocrats blind!? Such thing must not go unpunished! Everyone was now looking at her disgust. They have had it. The non-Obelian aristocrats cannot take her personality anymore. She was too naive, to childish, to innocent, to rude, and very undiscipline. Is this how a princess should act when a serious discussion is in place? Is this have a sister should act when her innocent sibling is falsely accused to her death? Is this how a future ruler of an Empire make a decision in the face of law?
This is madness! How could they can do something like this! If it were somewhere else, they should have investigated first and then be given judgement, if there was not enough evidence then Athanasia would lose her right to the throne and be sent to another country to be political bride.
"By framing an innocent life, much more a princess of your Empire to death!? Such action must be punished by slavery and death by law! For Lady Judith to be able to walk among us preposterous!" When Jennette received these words harshly, her began to tear and it made her look pitiful. Ejikeil, who was beside her, drew her close in order to comfort her, Jennette responded by gripping his sleeves.
Claude saw her pitiful expressions and went cold in anger. He turned to the everyone to silence them. "Enough! That has nothing to do with this meeting nor does our relationship between rulers."
Everyone now quietly looked at him, Claude De Alger Obelia, The Emperor of Obelia at great disappointment and despodensy. Does he not truly know anything about his own daughter?
"Emperor Claude." Emperor Deusericus solemnly spoke alone, looking directly in eye. "Tell us, do you not know of your deceased princess significance?"
His bewildered expression and silence was his obviously answer.
"Do you not know the importance of her presence?" The Emperor of Theus Continues.
Nothing just silence.
"Do you not know the true reason this banquet?"
No. Claude was not an idiot, he knew there was something strange about this banquet buy he didn't know what. It was somehow important that includes the Ruler of opposing Empire decision for the past 6 years. That was he what wanted to know.
Emperor Deusericus looked at him in great resentment. Then slowly stood up from his seat. When the representative of Theus saw his action, they followed him and stood up as well. Everyone now looked at the representative of Theus with a blank face silently. Most of them know they about to do but they cannot blame for what their actions about to come.
"Royal and Nobles of Obelia." Deusericus spoke loudly for all of them to hear. "From now on, we, the Theus Empire, will no longer be at peace alongside with the Obelia Empire. We, the Theusians, will continue our war against you, Obelian s." At his words, the Enemy Emperor turned and walk the through the door with his Theusian aristocrats following him loyaly behind him.
At this declaration, the Knights and Nobles of Obelia paled at that.
War? They want to continue war?
Before the speak up, the representative of the Medriba Empire stood up and followed the Theusian's example.
"We, the Medriba Empire, no longer care for you, the Obelia empire." Emperor of Medriba anounced then left after his declaration.
"We, the Drivan Empire,-"
"We, the Sabriga Kingdom,-"
"We, the Vredolso,-"
One by one, every representative from each country declared cutting their relations and ties with Obelia then left.
And Obelia just sat there and watched leave on by one. Til it was only them. Due to this, they returned to Obelia 1 day early and thought about their situation.
The neutral kingdoms becames hostile, while all the allied Empires of Obelia turned cold towards Obelia due to some reason. Especially the near province Siodonna and Arlanta. Now all former enemies, who are now enemies once again, of Obelia will take great advantage from it.
They didn't know the reason till it was too late.
