ตอน 1: Chapter - 01
P.O.V. Narrator
Arudera Junior High
"You guys are in your 3rd year, so it's time to be serious about your future. I'll pass out forms for your future career plans, but everyone one..."*grumble* the teacher announced in a serious manner as the sounds of the quirks belonging to students start coming, "... is going to take the hero course. Right?"
The teacher throws the forms in the air as all the students cheered.
"Great Quirks everyone! But using your Quirk at school isn't allowed, Ok?"
"Teacher/ Sensei, don't put us all in the same category. I don't plan to aim low like all these Quirk rejects." Katsuki Bakugo said while hanging his head back and both his legs on the table, his voice oozing arrogance, pride and superiority.
—"That was uncalled for Katsuki!"
—"Yeah!!"
"You should all just shut up like the extras you are!*hah*ha*"
"Ah, yes. Bakugo is going to UA High School?" the teacher announced after checking his diary.
—*gasp*whisper* The National School.
—*whisper* No way
—Its acceptance rate is about 0.2% this year. The competition is crazy.
*wishh*"This why you are all extras. I aced the Mock tests. I'm the only one here qualified for UA. I will even surpass All Might and became the top Hero. My name will be listed on the highest paid list!" Bakugo jumped on his table raising his fist in the air, eyes burning with determination and confidence and arrogance rolling off in waves.
"James is also aiming for UA." everyone immediately quieted down as they heard the teacher's voice.
Everyone slowly turned towards the boy sitting at the last seat alongside the window with fear in their eyes.
The boy stuck out like a sore thumb because he looked like a foreigner. He had brown hair with a duck tail hairstyle with a slight partition in middle and rest pointing upwards. He had blue eyes with a clear jawline.
Bakugo looked towards the boy with challenging and prideful eyes raring to fight. James just sat there looking outside the window with seemingly no interest in anything whatsoever.
"Eh? Midoriya you are also aiming for UA?" the teacher interrupted everyone's attention by dropping a bomb which caused everyone to start laughing.
—Midoriya? *hahah*
—Just studing won't get you to the Hero course*hahahhaa*
"T-they got rid of that rule. There's just no precedence-" the green haired boy got up trying defend his case when suddenly, "*booom*You are below all these rejects! You are Quirkless!"
*aah*"No, wait, Kacchan!..." midoriya still startled by Bakugo's outburst falls down and tries to back up, "...It's not like I'm trying to compete with you or anything. It just... been my dream since my childhood, I thought I should atleast try."
"So you were planning to give the exam for fun!" Bakugo replied standing tall above Midoriya with smoke coming out of his hands.
Midoriya looks down despondently trying not meet anyone's eyes untill his eyes were locked with the blue-eyed boy.
James' eyes did not hold any contempt or mockery but an expectant look.
Midoriya misunderstood it as sympathy and encouragement towards him but James was expectant towards the future that's about to unfold.
P.O.V. James
Time:- 2:00 p.m.
It's been 14 years since I was born or reborn in this world. I'm a single child born to a Canadian Sergeant and a Japanese housewife. My father, Logan Howlett, is fun loving and goofy man with a strong heart, he's a decorated soldier and moved to Japan after marrying my mother, Mitsuki Yashida.
I gained knowledge of this world when I was 3 years old. I didn't have much knowledge about this world, only till Endeavour's rise to being the new no.1 Hero.
My father had a mutant type Quirk as he could grow and strengthen nails to a dangerous degree. He also has superhuman senses, reflexes, and strength which made him a very deadly soldier, though he's retired now.
My mother on the other hand just had a minor regeneration Quirk. She owns a small publication company, which my father helps managing, and is also a pretty famous author in the writer's community.
My quirk, well the short description would be that I'm wolverine which should have been obvious to me really since my name is James "Logan" Howlett. Adaptable self-healing and mental scar tissue(The extent of healing and it's speed grows as it's pushed futher. Resistance to mental attacks), Superhuman senses, reflexes and agility, and Adamantium skeletal system (was very fucking painful.) which was tested to be biological in nature thus no adamantium poisoning. Though officially the true potential of my healing is just listed as minor.
So here I was, standing near the water holder in which Midoriya's notebook fell from the window.
'Damn if this notebook came under the possession of even a mediocre Villian the results would be disastrous.' I memorized the entire data in the notebook with the help of my photographic memory.
I saw Midoriya walking towards me absent-minded and mumbling something.
"Eh! James-kun." Midoriya fumbled and started looking towards the notebook in my hand. I just throw the notebook on his head.
"You want to be Hero, then grow a spine first." I walk away putting my hand in pocket and lighting up a cigarette leaving the green haired boy with a look of suprise on his face.
30 minutes later...
I take the jam packed train back home. Taking out my phone I look at the News with headlines of All Might my start teaching at UA and his sighting in the Iami Housing area defeating a slug villian.
I exit the train at my stop and walk back home while throwing away the cigarette box and filling my mouth with mints.
"I'm home!" I notify my arrival and waited for the response.
*woosh*"Sonn!" *baam* Dad ran towards me with a flying kick which I dodge and he just slams in the wall.
"Logan!! Why do keep doing this childish stuff. James go wash up and come down to the dinner table we'll be serving soon." Mom walked out of the living room and saw her dumb husband plastered in the wall and just ignored him, so did I.
At The Dinner Table
"So son, the UA entrance exams are nearing. You excited?" my dad asked while munching on his food with absolutely no manners.
*baam*"Yeah dear, I heard that the acceptance rate this year would be lowest in UA history. Don't worry to much if you aren't admitted there we'll just apply for Shiketsu High." mom chimed her opinion on the matter while hitting dad in the head.
"Nah, I'm not that worried. I'll pass it." I replied in a nonchalant manner as the we ate our dinner, me enjoying mine while mom and dad quarrelling over little things.
After a pleasant dinner I walked back to my room filled with drawings of Wolverine, Deadpool and some Picasso-shit and a poster of All Might. I pick up my phone and see another headline of All Might changing the weather with One Punch, I smile seeing the faces of Bakugo and Midoriya as hostages and their interview after the altercation.
I fell asleep with considerable difficulty as the animalistic instinct in me was too excited due to the upcoming events that are about to unfold.
