บท 9: Forst Part 2
After an hour of sleeping Pyrrha was rested enough for us to continue adventuring. Currently, Pyrrha and I were heading towards the rumored ancient civilization. According to the information Pyrrha gathered the ruins were mostly underground and apparently almost everyone who went in there died. As for the ones who lived, they made it out like bandits. They had gotten enough money to live the rest of their lives luxuriously. If this had been a cultivation novel, it would have probably been the tomb of some old powerful dude.
After a few minutes of walking, a weird sight greeted me. In the middle of the forest there was a square marble platform that was about 10 meters long and wide. But that wasn't that weird. What was, was the stair descending into the ground. It was so deep that I couldn't see the bottom, even with my enhanced vision. The stair had 8 broken pillars surrounding it in an octagon pattern with a pillar being on each corner.
Pyrrha: "This is the place. Wait! Don't go down yet!" Pyrrha had noticed that I was already going down the steps, but how could she stop me from finding my ancient weapons.
She and I continued to descend down the stairs. Slowly the surrounding started to become darker until we were walking in pitch black. Which wasn't that uncomfortable for me as I had haki, the same couldn't be said for Pyrrha who had no way of seeing. Holding my haori she awkwardly followed me. So in an attempt to make her more comfortable, I used my powers to make a few small fire marbles. Commanding them to fly around me I lit up everything within 7 meters. Pyrrha was staring at the fire marbles with admiration and wonder, I couldn't help but chuckle at her childish behavior. Remembering about me, she started to blush at her unsightly behavior but understanding that I was trying to make her comfortable she smiled towards me. My heart skipped a beat at the sight in front of me. Pyrrha was smiling at me innocently with a small blush, added with the dim light coming from the fire marbles slowly passing by it was quite the sight to see. Should have brought my camera.
Ryu: "Let's go and find some TREASURES!"As I motivated us we continued going deeper into the ruins.
Eventually, the stairs came to a stop at a wide room-like space in front of us. Further into the room, there were 5 openings with each being 2 meters tall.
Ryu: "Of course it's a fucking maze! Why wouldn't it be?! Oh, I know, why don't I destroy this cursed place!" I don't like mazes, I have a good reason not to. When I was a kid, me and my friends played this game where there was a labyrinth. I got separated from them and ended up being stuck in there -courtesy of my sense of direction- for an hour before one of them got me out of there.
Pyrrha: "Wait! Don't be impulsive! You will cause the whole roof to collapse on us!" she was panicking and it was within her rights to panic.
Ryu: "I would rather die than to go into another labyrinth!" I made the Emiya bow with a sword. Notching the sword onto the bow I started supercharging it. Sending my mana into the sword then compressing it continuously I had used up 40% of my mana reservoir. Aiming the sword at the 5 passageways I fired. Pyrrha was in super panic mode behind my back trying to reach me on time, only to be too late.
The sword fired at an astonishing speed and started drilling through the wall until it was out of sight. The good news is that the roof didn't collapse in itself. Bad, or rather the better news is that the wall which had the 5 passageways now had a giant hole in it going straight for 100s of meters, with light coming out of the end of it.
Ryu:" Well, that was unexpected." Pyrrha was looking at me with a deadpanned expression.
Ryu: "I know I'm impressive and all that good shit but we still have a whole ruin to explore." Pyrrha facepalmed at how relaxed I acted after almost killing us.
Pyrrha: "You..you..*sigh*. Let's go." knowing she wasn't going to get to me, she gave up and started walking through the fabulous tunnel I had made. Soon we reached the end of it only to be greeted with yet another big open dirt area. The only difference was that there was only one path -thank god- and a statue holding a stone tablet. Let's hope the statue doesn't come to life like it did in Solo Leveling. I walked near the statue to read whatever was written on the stone tablet cause why not, it definitely didn't seem suspicious at allll.
Ryu reading the tablet:"{Congratulation challenger. For you have made it thus far. Be warned as to pass this test, you will have to become a one-man army}. Hmm? One man army?"
Pyrrha: "It says this is a test, but a test for what? Treasure, legacy, knowledge...*sigh*. Wonder what it is."
Ryu: "Well whatever it is we will learn it at some point. Come on, it's no use wasting time on pondering what it could be." At this point, I was sure I was in a tomb of some sort. Why? I have read far too many cultivation novels not to.
Pyrrha and I started to once again walk within the tunnel. After some time the tunnel started to expand. Continuing on walking we soon stumbled upon a puppet-like thing standing while facing towards us. The tunnel had ended with a huge space left for a fight. The room was shaped like a half-sphere with it having a radius of 100 meters. If we took pi as 3 then that makes..... 30 thousand meter square. ( Pi x (r to the power of 2))
Pyrrha: "I'll take it on, you took on the last challenge."
Well, she wasn't wrong as I basically cheated the 1st stage as such technical I defeated it? I don't really know. Anyways Pyrrha is about to fight and I will intervene if anything happens so I should focus on her. To get a better view of this I used En to cover within 20-meters of me in case anything happens.
As I was doing that Pyrrha was walking towards the puppet while taking out her sword, she transformed it into a spear. A good tactic, as she doesn't know her opponent well she chose to have the range advantage. Which wasn't much as the puppet was about 2 meters tall. As she neared the puppet, it started to move as well. The puppet was soon in a low stanced fighting position. At the 5 meter mark Pyrrha broke into a sprint, the puppet proceeded to stay still as Pyrrha neared it. Soon enough when the distance between them was slightly more than a meter, Pyrrha attacked going straight for her opponents face. Unfortunately for her, it wasn't that easy. Responding to her attack the puppet leaned its head to the left allowing for the tip of the spear to pass harmlessly, without a second delay the puppet threw a left hook towards Pyrrha's gut. Dogging the fist Pyrrha once again attacked, this time aiming for the shin. The puppet dogged causing the spear to get stuck on the ground, little did it know this was what Pyrrha wanted. Pushing herself with her legs and pulling herself with her arms Pyrrha accelerated towards the puppet and hit it in the head with her knee. Before the puppet could recover Pyrrha transformed her spear into a sword and swung it, decapitating the puppet.
I started to applause by clapping my hands to the fabulous fight. Pyrrha looked at me with pride as she raised her chin pridefully. She looked like a kitten who caught her first mice. But that didn't last long as a few gear sounds were heard. On the entrance to the room stood hundreds of puppets that were armed.
Ryu: "Well, I guess that solves the one-man army riddle. How about you stay here and I take care of them. And don't give me that look, next time I promise I will let you fight with me." Pyrrha looked depressed as she couldn't do anything while I had to go and fight a small army. Well, let's see how much I have grown. At this point, the only thing I used the system for was for shopping for ores and looking at my skills. The reason was that stat points didn't show the fighting capability of a person, it was more for looking at your growth than anything. My skills were pretty crowded at this point, my swordsmanship also evolved to the skill; 'breath of the world'. It was basically where someone in One Piece could cut steel and do flying slashes.

Walking towards the army I made my plan. Which consisted of two phases. Phase one, group them. Phase two, EXPLOSİON. Must say it was pretty self-explanatory. Since my enchantment skill was level 79, I had 15 slots to enchant per equipment. Let's just say that my mana recovery was 75 mana per second after unlocking the advanced mana gathering enchant. All right that's enough monologue, LETS FİGHT.
With that, I bolted towards the army as they started running towards me...
